Holiday rentals in Gilbertville

We booked the property for an escape from the graduation craziness and it was absolutely lovely. The home is cozy, clean, and comfortable. The cabin is well appointed. It was nice to have a quiet location to enjoy and Deb was very responsive and caring. I love the beautiful porch and with any luck, I’d like to return again so I may spend more time there. It’s lovely and peaceful!

We enjoyed our stay at Breann's last weekend to attend a wedding in Iowa. It accommodated our family of 7 well and was spacious and well furnished. The view from the upper level was amazing. It was like we were dwelling at the top of the trees and had a "bird's eye" view. Lovely. Very nice hot tub.

As a 35 week pregnant mom with 2 littles at home and nursing school finals on Monday, getting away to the cabin was exactly what I needed! Not only was it so peaceful that I could focus and study for an extended period of time, but it was also incredibly comfortable. (And the jet tub was just icing on the cake!) Ernie & Mindy may have been some of the nicest Airbnb hosts I’ve booked with so far. They were incredibly welcoming- even bringing us some delicious raspberry + white chocolate muffins and chatting for a bit. Reminded me of my dad a bit! I’ll definitely be back- Id love a chance to explore the land when I’m not super pregnant. Thanks for everything!

Kanku's home was wonderful! We were in town for our daughter's wedding, and it was only five minutes away from the venue. It was easy to get to the highway to go to other parts of the city as well. The house itself was spacious and perfectly clean. The kitchen was well appointed with plenty of dishes and glasses. The bedrooms were comfortable, and the bathrooms had plenty of towels. We couldn't have asked for a better place to gather our family for a joyous occasion!

Our party of five adults stayed at Andy's place for a birthday weekend and had a great time. The cabin and surroundings are as described ~ clean, unique, private, quiet. We kayaked and fished in the pond and ate our meals on the deck; we loved the outdoor spaces and appreciated having the kayaks and the fire pit available. We traveled to Elkader and Decorah during the days. The cabin was just the right place to come back to.

The house was amazing. Very clean. Had everything a person would need. Plenty of room for all our guests. Great location. Close to gas station, grocery stores, and restaurants. The ping pong table was a nice touch. I would definitely stay here again.

Water Place fit our needs perfectly! We were able to be together as a larger family under one roof for our family Christmas. The well stocked kitchen was a huge help, and we enjoyed the peaceful river views.
