A charming 19th century house with a good atmosphere. The property is beautifully situated by the sea overlooking Ålesund and the Sunnmøre Alps. Only 15 mins with a car from Ålesund city and the nearest airport, but is still a place that gives peace of mind. Outside the garden there are cultivated fields with grazing animals in late summer. The island of Giske itself is a gem with a medieval marble church, beaches, untouched nature and birdlife. The island once housed Norway's most powerful noble family, the Arnungs and is mentioned in the Snorre saga.

Rorbua is located right down by the seafront in the harbour of Alnes with panoramic views of both the spring and the big sea. It's fascinating to follow the birdlife and boat traffic. The light changes throughout the day, you can see both sunrise and sunset from the living room window. This is a place where you can find peace. Right next to the main door there is good mark, varied hiking trails. You can also travel on day trips to Ålesund, Geiranger and Runde. On the neighboring island there is a water sports center with equipment rental.

Here everything is located for both the relaxing holiday, the active holiday, and the cultural holiday.

My place is good for couples, solo travelers, business travelers. Also suitable for a small family. (Extra mattresses). Newly renovated farmhouse from 1894 which has retained its unique charm and old style :) The house is located on Ulla, Haramsøy (Haram municipality), with the sea as its nearest neighbour. It is a short distance to fishing opportunities and a bathing area, and the hiking trails are right outside the kitchen door. There will also be a boat available for free use during the stay at your own risk.
