Just a stone's throw from the beautiful forest lake St. Øksø. The perfect starting point for hiking and mountain biking in Rold Forest and Rebild Hills or as a quiet shelter in the tranquility of the forest, from which life can be enjoyed, perhaps with the mouse owl hovering over the meadow, the squirrel darting up the tree trunk, a good book in front of the wood stove or coziness in the firelight at night.

From the cozy bright glass bay window in the living room, there is a sea view and a view over the courtyard towards the viewpoint Peter Dolmens hill, the region's highest point Kalesbakke and Blushøjgård's apple orchard.

Kaløvig Bådehavn ligger under en km fra huset. I huset er der spise og soveplads til 4 personer. Håndklæder, viskestykker, dyner, senge linned og brænde til den hyggelige brændeovn.

Leiligheden fra 2008, ligger over Mariendal Mosteri Djursland produktionslokaler i en bindingsværks ejendom med stråtag fra år 1777. Hvor vi også har en lille økologisk æbleplantage. Ejendommen ligger i rolige omgivelser i Aalsrode, en lille landsby 10 km syd for Grenaa og centralt i forhold til Djurslands serværdigheder.
