Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Groningen

We, 2 adults & 2 boys aged 7 and 11 years felt right at home in the accommodation. It was super clean and lovingly furnished. Everything we needed was there. Both the terrace at the house and the terrace by the water invite you to spend wonderfully cozy hours. In the park itself, the children were able to ride their scooters, jump on the trampoline, swim in the indoor swimming pool or pedal boat. Janna and Christof are great hosts who respond immediately and were friendly, helpful and accommodating at all times.

Maurits really is a super host. Friendly, responsive, helpful; among the very best hosts at airbnbs we've stayed. The kitchen did not have a microwave, and he bought one for us. Would stay with him anytime anywhere. Location was perfect, walk to bus stops, center of town, and both an Albert Heijn and Jumbo. The house was an authentic schipperswonig, but outfitted with an electronic lock system and heating system that was quiet and effective. Note three things to guests: (1) typical Dutch flight of stairs, but good handrail and perfectly navigable (better than most); (2) oven and mirrors at height suitable for > 180 cm tall Dutch person; (3) Groningen is a university town and current next door neighbors are students who had extremely noisy friends every Thursday night (very late); they did respond to our complaint, but needed to be told twice. All in all, a very enjoyable stay.

We were surprised by the large of the house. 3 large bedrooms, where the curtains unfortunately let a lot of light through. Nice spacious living room and dining table. We just missed some mirrors. 1 mirror on the bathroom for in my case 6 women is really too little. Should have hung a mirror in the bedrooms. But price technically definitely very interesting and highly recommended.

We spent a wonderful week at Aagje in Een-West. Beautiful spacious house with a lovely garden. Good beds. We met wonderfully sunny weather. Since it is still early in the year, it was also wonderful to sit in the igloo greenhouse at the end of the afternoon;where it was warmed up by the sun. Aagje is a very sweet hostess;cheerful,interested and always willing to give information about the beautiful surroundings. We spend a wonderful weekend there with friends. The location is lovely and quiet, but close to lots of activities in the area. Perfect place to stay, we'll definitely come here again.

Rented Edwin's place in April for a few days. Edwin was always available and ever so helpful. Next to that, the house was beautiful, spacious and clean. Great host, beautiful place!

We had a short vacation with two children. The accommodation has enough space for a family of 4. The rooms were all clean. You have everything you need. And we had felt like at home. In the garden there is a nice sauna and a large hot tub. The sauna is worth the money in our opinion. And we were allowed to enjoy the hot tub to the fullest with the wood provided to us free of charge. The surroundings and a very nice playground also leave nothing to be desired. I'm sure we'll be back. Thank you and all the best!

After the second stage of the Pieterpad, you can relax in Niko's garden house. Lovely space, good atmosphere. We will definitely go back to be a little longer in Groningen.

Such a nice, peaceful and cosy place! We stayed here to discover the Lauwersmeer with its variety of birds. It was lovely to start the day peaceful and end it cosy at Hans-Eriks place. Definitely would recommend! Would love to come back in a different season as well.

A nice clean apartment where really everything is present. Lovely soft bedding, lots of towels, nice sofa. Located nicely in the center of Drenthe. Walking distance to the Hofsteenge restaurant. We would love to come back.

We had a very nice stay at the apartment on De Vaart. The center of Assen is within walking distance and there are a lot of fun things to do. The apartment itself has all the comforts and we slept wonderfully. Certainly subject to repetition.

Remote enough to be peaceful. Close enough to access everything we needed. Plenty of room, careful attention to detail, a lot of unexpected bonuses like food, wine, spa elements, etc. Very comfortable and easy. Ina was very gracious and we had no issues.

Me, three teenagers and a cocker spaniel stayed two nights in this nice apartment. Cozyly decorated with older furniture, plenty of space and with a fully protected small garden. We all enjoyed it! Hil has put great care on the equipment and we lacked nothing. We hope to come back!

Lovely cottage in a farm house. The bed is extremely comfortable, pictures don't do the place justice, the interior is very cozy and charming. Host is very kind and the place feels home. Shops are walking distance, and the house is located opposite the canal, sunsets are beautiful. There is a bus 5 minutes walk from the house. Nice area to relax and unwind - away from the hustle and bustle of cities. The neighbourhood is peaceful and the villagers are friendly.

We slept well in the bedstee. The children also thought it was very cozy. Nice cottage, cozy atmosphere. Gas stove also makes it cozy. Magnificent views of flowering apple blossom. We were greeted by cozy chickens. Everything was just right when you looked around. Very nice!

What a beautiful apartment in this beautiful water tower! Everything was neat and clean. The beds slept wonderfully. It was also nice that there were several pillows to choose from. We greatly loved our stay!

We felt very comfortable in the beautiful, modern and well-kept apartment - and it is located in a nice area. The landlords are very friendly. In Groningen, be sure to go to the forum and the museum!

Nice spacious apartment, top location, good communication

Due to my husband's work, we stayed in the accommodation of Dennis and his family for 7 weeks, who live in the main part of the house. The property is very quietly located. For those who love it like us it's perfect. You only need a car or bike for weekly shopping as there are no shops in the village. The rooms are small and each has a dresser in it. The bathroom, on the other hand, is very spacious, you absolutely have to ventilate after each shower, otherwise it smells something special. The kitchen and living room are very inviting to linger. Unfortunately, the garden was always very wet due to the weather, which is why we can't tell much about it. Behind the house there is a very nice playground and picnic areas. There are plenty of great ways to walk. We made trips to Groningen, Veemdam, Assen and even Amsterdam. We enjoyed it very much. Dennis and his family were incredibly nice!

The long weekend in the apartment overlooking the lake was beautiful. The apartment is freshly renovated and we were welcomed with drinks and some treats in the fridge. We were even allowed to borrow the canoe to ride it across the lake. Joke and her husband Martin help wherever they can. Thanks again for the wonderful stay!
