Veenhuizen (with the colonies of Weldadigheid), Norg and Bakkeveen are accessible by bicycle.

Guesthouse "De Cranvogel" The cozy log cabin can be found in the yard of a farmhouse and has its own driveway. Sheltered under a wooden embankment, you can look out towards the Fochtelooërveen and the beautiful garden. During the summer, the view may be obstructed by the growth of maize or other crops.
