This is a private rental accommodation surrounded by the rich natural landscape of Kochi Prefecture, with only one group per day. We have carefully renovated a 40-year-old traditional house, retaining the original beams and windows, and transformed it into a space where you can relax with family and friends.Outside the window, the traditional Japanese landscape of rice fields and mountains stretches out.You can enjoy the changing scenery with each season from the living room and sunroom. The accommodation can accommodate up to 6 guests.We also provide baby chairs, baby baths, baby futons, and toys to ensure that families with small children can enjoy a comfortable stay. There is also an open kitchen with a dishwasher, a garden deck where you can have a BBQ, and a cypress bath. It is about 40 minutes by car from Kochi Airport, and it is also easy to access from Kochi Station, making it a convenient location as a base for travelling around Shikoku.Located in the Niyodo River basin, it is also within an hour's reach of popular spots along the Niyodo River, which is known as the "Miracle Clear Stream".With excellent access to Matsuyama and Takamatsu, many guests choose this as a place to stay during their trip around Shikoku. Originally a construction company office, this renovated building has an impressive, rugged and modern design with a 'factory' theme.The lines of the steel frame and the texture of the concrete create a calm and warmth that soothes the weariness of travel. It can accommodate up to 4 guests, and is perfect for a bike trip with friends or family island time.The illuminated Tatara Bridge, seen from the window, is a beautiful sight that symbolises the beauty of the night. There is a craft ice cream shop on site, and a coffee and doughnut shop is scheduled to open in December.A sweet bite to taste after running through gently refreshes the memories of your trip. I created this accommodation because I wish there was a place like this. ☆This is not a hotel. We want you to think about how you want to spend your time. On sunny days, enjoy morning coffee on the large wooden deck. In the cold winter, warm up with a wood stove, and make and eat a delicious meal yourself. Play your favorite music, and read surrounded by books lining the walls. Take a walk to Gero Station while catching a glimpse of life in Gero. Fishing at sea, picking azaleas, bamboo shoots, and wild potatoes in the mountains, and eating them yourself. Long stays are recommended. Based at Shimonada Cabin, it is about an hour's drive to Matsuyama City. 2.5 hours to Shimanto River. 3 hours to Shikoku Karst. Shopping can be done in Iyo City or Nagahama Town, or you can buy from local fishmongers and greengrocers and cook for yourself. Of course, you can also eat at a nearby restaurant if you book. Anyway, I want you to relax at Shimonada Cabin. One night is too wasteful. I recommend at least 2 days. It is a place that can be enjoyed in good weather or bad.

There is a small river and a nice old house of Japanese style next to the house .The tool of the barbecue is prepared. （Please bring an ignition agent and charcoal） it's comfortable in summer as the temperature is a few degrees lower than in the city. As of 2024, mobile phones have become much easier to connect to. （no wi-fi） The air conditioner was installed in 2022, but it is only on the first floor.Enjoy the natural air. There is a fan. Firewood isn't available from May as it will be warmer.

The ground floor is all yours. It's spacious with a large tatami sleeping room that can become two. The A/C is only in one room if the doors are closed. There is no central heating. Restaurants are within 10min or you can prepare local foods in your own equipped kitchen. It’s designed for long and short stays.
