Maximum 6 people. Feel the charm of Kyoto in the luxury townhouse "KYOYA". Higashiyama Ward, Gion, Kiyomizu Temple within walking distance. All rooms are fully equipped with air conditioning and heating, and a cypress bath.
How about a plan to spend a relaxing time in a townhouse in Kyoto Higashiyama? If you go down Shijo-dori Street towards Yasaka Shrine and follow the alley, you will find the accommodation I am guiding you to. It is a quiet neighborhood lined with old town houses. Nearby is Koboro-honey Temple, and if you walk up the hill to the east, you will find Yasaka Shrine and Kiyomizu Temple, and if you walk west for about 5 minutes, you will find Miyagawa-cho, where geishas come and go. The townhouse we are introducing is a long, narrow building unique to Kyoto. The interior makes use of indirect lighting in key areas, giving it a classic feel. The spacious kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge, microwave, IH stove, kettle, frying pan, pots, dishes, and cutlery. There is also a washer and dryer. The sliding door with a snow-viewing window overlooking a small garden in the Japanese-style room adds to the atmosphere. There is a fantastic cypress bath at the back. When you fill the bath and look out at the small garden from the small window, you will feel like you are in Kyoto while enjoying the scent of cypress. The second floor has two Japanese-style rooms with a twin bed room in between. At night, you can sleep slowly with little noise from cars. A few days in a different environment than a hotel in the city will surely be a wonderful travel memory.

[Kyomachiya Rental] 115-year-old Kyomachiya · Takasegawa Shichijo
The private rental accommodation "Takasegawa Shichijo" is a fully renovated 115-year-old traditional Kyoto townhouse. The traditional townhouse, which forms part of the beautiful scenery of Kyoto, has been redesigned as a building with high airtightness and thermal insulation, while retaining its original structure, so that you can enjoy a comfortable stay even in the humid and hot summers and harshly cold winters that are unique to Kyoto. From the Japanese-style room on the first floor, you can see the tsubo garden, which is designed in the image of a "roji" (*a garden that leads to a tea room). There is also a sofa in the corridor where you can relax and enjoy the view of the tsubo garden. In the evening, you can spend a relaxing time watching the illuminated tsubo garden. There are two bedrooms on the second floor: a Japanese-style room with two single beds and a Western-style room with two single beds. If there are 5 or more guests staying, it is a little inconvenient, but you can lay futons in the Japanese-style room on the first floor and use it as a bedroom. The kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils and tableware for simple cooking.

Reikaku Yasaka | Gion | Historical Machiya
Reikaku Yasaka was a building in ruins with the floor tilted by at least 30cm when we discovered this hidden jewel. The restoration was particularly difficult due to the state it was in but our craftsman’s determination to bring this Machiya back to its formal glory paid off for Reikaku Yasaka. The result is Japanese craftsmanship at its best and we are very proud to be able to share the result with the rest of the world. Check our other house as an alternate option @ Reikaku Kiyomizu-Gojo
