If you are looking for peace and relaxation, then you have come to the right place. Goßdorf is in a quiet little place and a district of Hohnstein. In about 13 minutes by car you can reach the Elbe Valley in Bad Schandau, the Bastei and the Königstein Fortress in about 20 minutes by car. You can start hiking directly from the front door. In the village itself you will find an outdoor swimming pool with a large sunbathing lawn, which you can use free of charge. City of Wehlen Markthaus - Vacation rental - Apartment

The Markthaus is a historic gem and is a listed building, designated as the first hostel in Saxon Switzerland. The house frames the market square in the reflection of the market church below the castle ruin on the romantic Malerweg. The vaulted cellar and foundation walls date back to 1527. The main house was built in 1734 and operated as a rest stop, post office and inn. In 1850, a massive extension was built in the classicist style. Röhringer ran the Hotel Sächsische Schweiz here.

The original roof wooden frame, exposed brickwork, original flooring, fully functional wooden stove helps you to imagine what people lived like at the beginning of last century. The main living area is facing the front of the house and therefor you will find a view on the town square, town house and the famous basalt rock “Jehla”.
