Approximately 4 meters above the ground, surrounded by green leaves, you can only feel comfortable. A day in the tree house (without the luxury of everyday life) slows you down incredibly. You shouldn't expect luxury, but rather an adventure and the challenge of getting by with little. With stick bread by the campfire and an evening view from the tree house into the starry sky, you can escape everyday life.

Halmhuset - The Straw House

Our thatched house is probably the only "Halmhuset" that is rented as a vacation home in Denmark. It is breathable, made of clay and straw, and is sustainably supplied by heat pump and photovoltaics. In summer, the thick walls provide pleasant coolness, in winter it is cozy and warm, with a room height of up to 4 meters. A real feel-good place for up to 8 people, located at the gates of the city of Tønder, close to the Wadden Sea National Park and the islands of Sylt and Rømø.

Arrive and feel good, time out in North Frisia

Vacation in the North Frisian expanse, right on the Danish border and close to the island and Hallig world, the Wadden Sea, but far away from the tourist hotspots. We live directly on the Wiedaudeich, which belongs to a large nature reserve with a fascinating birdlife and at the same time forms the border with Denmark. Here you can experience the famous sort sol, the black sun, in the spring and autumn, the breathtaking dance of ten thousand starlings in the evening sky.

The Nolde Museum is in the immediate vicinity and Denmark is only 3 km away.

If you want to experience authentic Danish coziness, here is a unique opportunity. This is the original farmhouse for Kirkeskovgaard. The house was completely renovated in 2020. The home is located in scenic surroundings with direct views of several lakes, meadows and grazing Icelandic horses as well as a completely unique wildlife. Welcome to our terp in Waygaard near the lake Botschlott. The accommodation is a traditional thatched farmhouse flat with a view overlooking the lake, the surrounding meadows and the North Frisian marshes. It is ideal for nature lovers: you can canoe, cycle and watch the flocks of birds that use the partly protected lake as a migration and nesting site. The house was carefully restored with natural materials in 2025/2026

Welcome to our apartment Rehkitz im Wald in Süderlügum. Süderlügum is located right on the Danish border on the North Sea between Flensburg and Sylt. Shopping, playgrounds and an outdoor pool are a few minutes' walk away. Special feature: our shops are also open on Sundays and on many holidays. A fishing lake is also nearby, day tickets for this can be purchased from us.
