There is a separate indoor bath from the Hinoki bath, but the view of Setouchi and the starry sky from the Goemon bath, heated with firewood, is the best. If you're lucky, you'll see artificial satellites and meteors. The water heated by firewood never gets cold. It warms you from the core of your body. The bedding is specially ordered from a long-established bedding manufacturer in Kyoto, and the bath invites you to relax your body and mind and sleep soundly. Most guests say they sleep well. During the day, you might want to spend some time in the lounge filled with houseplants. Enjoy the sunlight shining through the trees from the skylight. Here, the right answer is to do nothing and just be. How about emptying your mind? If you request at least a week before your stay, we can prepare local food from Oshima Island and seasonal food that we can get through a special route. If you wish, you can also dine at a counter made of pure cedar, similar to a traditional Japanese restaurant.

You can leisurely watch the sunset as it descends into the calm sea. Dinner at the popular restaurant, Umimachi Bar Ameri, where you can enjoy the local cuisine and music, is one of the highlights of the trip. Located to the west of Oshima, Omi is a tranquil place surrounded by mountains and the sea. It is also an ideal base for cycling and island tours. In the early morning, a stroll along the calm sea, surrounded by tranquillity and the song of birds, is a truly restorative experience. The entrance to the approach to Himezaka-jinja Shrine is right next to the inn, and the narrow slope lined with old houses from the early Showa period is also recommended for a walk.From the path through the mandarin orchard that leads up to the shrine, a beautiful view of the sea and the islands unfolds. At night, the sky is filled with stars, and in summer, the Milky Way shimmers across the night sky. There is no view from the facility, but the port and Shiomachi shopping street are close, so you can stroll around the neighborhood and enjoy the port city. The building has been designed to create a comfortable environment while making use of the characteristics of an old private house. The existing exterior walls and structures were insulated and reinforced, but restored to the time when the old house was built. Inside, we made a white box that provides a comfortable environment, and we made it the living room and bedroom. You can relax in a modern Japanese-style design space while staying in an old Japanese house. The bathroom opens to the courtyard with large windows and is full of a sense of freedom. The bathtub and bathroom heating are also equipped to create a comfortable bathroom environment, and privacy is ensured with blinds. It is small but equipped with a kitchen for simple cooking. The entrance is wide and bicycles can be brought inside. There is also a washing machine, so it can accommodate medium to long-term stays. There are also Western-style restaurants, Japanese restaurants, kappo restaurants, and bars nearby, so you can enjoy the local cuisine.

We have the second house in Ikuchi Island. You can stay there whenever we don't use it. Please check in between 3pm and 11pm. Please pick up this house key from the key case on the premises. There is no WIFI in this house. There are no restaurants or convenience stores nearby. There is a cafe nearby, but it closes at 5pm. There are no street lamps around the neighborhood. Please turn on the outdoor light when stepping out at night.
