Holiday rentals in Island Mountain

I'm a 72yo husband to a much younger woman of 69. There are amenities that are inconsequential for much younger travelors that matter moreso to the silver crowd. Understand that nothing I add here subtracts from the accommodations listed, they are only observations near and dear to weary geriatrics. The unit is up a flight of stairs that are attached to the exterior of the building. This is a non-issue to travelers younger than I. The bathroom has been meticulously remodeled. Shower has a wide entry door with a minimum of threshold so no stubbed toes. However, the large shower has no grab bars which is concerning when you can't open your eyes while rinsing or turning. I have found that not all commodes are the same height so be aware this unit has a very low landing height without a grab point to resurrect one to upright. Nonetheless, the unit remains a fantastic lodging experience and in no way should my observations deter an informed traveler from selecting Scott's great offering.

My family enjoyed our stay. The location is beautiful and my kids especially loved Bones the cat!

This house in Fort Bragg was perfect!! From the well equipped kitchen, to the lovely furnishings, the deluxe showers and the two minute walk to the ocean, you couldn’t ask for more. We appreciated being able to book just one night, although we would have loved to stay longer! Christine knew we had our six year old grandson with us and left a fun little scavenger hunt for him in the house. Be sure to take the very short walk to the ocean, the views are breathtaking. This was a comfortable and perfect place for our quick trip to Fort Bragg!! We recommend the Skunk Train Rail Bike trip while you are visiting, lots of fun for kids (and grown up kids!!!)

Beautiful house. Amazing location. It was so amazing to walk outside to the porch and see and hear the ocean. Hearing the fog horn at night was wonderful. The sea lions in the morning were a great sound to wake up to. Perfect spot near by to see the sunset. This house is perfect for a group or a couples getaway. The neighbors are quiet, even thought their is a home preschool next door….we never heard a peep. Just an overall amazing place to stay. Cant wait to be able to go back.

Marina’s place is very nice, bright and airy, clean and well-maintained. It’s great for two couples as the bedrooms are on opposite ends of the house. We enjoyed the deck and fire pit, the lovely gardens and got a kick out of the friendly flock of hens and geese across the way. Thanks again to Marina for the gift of their eggs. It was the perfect country setting after our wonderful visit to the Mendocino Botanical Gardens. We would definitely stay here again.

Shelter Cove is a hidden gem in California & this house is the BEST way to enjoy it. The house is directly on the ocean! The views from the living room, kitchen & my bed room were absolutely spectacular. The house was so clean. The sofas were super comfortable. The downstairs bathroom has a huge tub & the water gets really hot. Multiple beaches within walking distance & lots of sea lions near the lighthouse! Mario's bar & restaurant is also walkable and we met so many kind locals there who told us a lot about Shelter Cove. We saw deer grazing the grass all over town everyday. There's even a shower in the garage you can use after going to the ocean before entering the house. The host's were so kind to leave us a complimentary bottle of local wine & a nice note for us upon entering the house. We had such a great stay here and will definitely be coming back in the future. We were so lucky to find this place. Thanks Todd for letting us stay at your beautiful home!

We stayed here as a family of four. The property was comfortable and very clean. We appreciated having the twin beds for the kids and also the no-dogs policy (makes a difference if you have allergies to pets). The location was pretty and also convenient, being within easy reach of the grocery store and local restaurant options. We had a great stay and would love to return. Thank you!
