Monthly Rentals in Isle of Raasay

Absolutely lovely and a perfect place to stay in Skye. Aonghas and Rachel were responsive hosts and very flexible, and gave great instructions to find the cottage. It's a shame we never bumped into them to say hi, but I'm sure they would've been there if we had any issues, which we didn't. The cottage itself is clean and modern, with a beautiful living room with a wide open window looking out over the sound of Raasay (side note: recommend sitting on the window ledge at night to check out the stars!), TV, comfy seating, and modern kitchen facilities. Just note there is no microwave (this is made clear in the listing) so you can heat up food in the oven/hob. Bathroom is spotless and shower is warm and high pressure (needed!). Bedroom also pristine. The garden is lovely and features lots of wildlife - and a robot lawnmower which is always fun to watch on its rounds! Portree is a short drive away, and the Braes is a peaceful environment to relax in. Overall a great base to explore Skye.

We had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb! The location was perfect and had excellent views. It was just a short trip to downtown Portree, which made exploring and dining out super convenient. Gas and grocery is also conveniently located nearby. The kitchen was well stocked and had great appliances. The space itself was cosy and had a warm, homey feel. We truly felt taken care of from the moment we arrived, as the host turned on the lights for us when we would be arriving in the dark, and generously provided food items to get us started. The hosts were exceptional—so kind, thoughtful, funny, and genuinely helpful. They really went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and make sure we had everything we needed for a perfect stay. They had a wealth of knowledge about local attractions and had great recommendations. We had a really wonderful time talking with them and were so sad to leave. We’d absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

We would not hesitate to recommend Mary’s place, and would love to come back on our next visit to Skye. The house was spotless, and exactly as described and pictured. The area was remote - just what we wanted - but only 15 minutes from civilisation. The house is extremely well equipped with everything you could need. There are huge amounts of literature, guides and leaflets about the area and things to do. The secure garden was perfect for our dog. The views … to die for!!!! We were lucky to spot the resident deer within 30 minutes of our arrival, were visited by the local heron, and some Grey Lag geese and their 6 young goslings. Mary was extremely helpful in advance of our stay, and also for any queries whilst we were there. It was lovely to meet Ian also, and chat about the family history of the Croft.
