Holiday rentals in Kahaluu-Keauhou

We had the best stay at Travis and Tricia's beautiful home. The place looked exactly like the photos and Travis and Tricia were extremely helpful and communicative from the start. Location was unbeatable — right on the water (we spent every morning having coffee on the balcony) and super close to the main street with bars, restaurants etc. We'll definitely be back next time we're on the Big Island!

Seriously paradise. It met all my desires for a beach vacation: It is right across the street from Magic sands beach - the condo is set back, so about a 4 minute walk. I think it is the only sandy beach in the area. A 3 minute drive to amazing snorkeling in a protected bay/ cove. A 10 minute drive to great shops and restaurants. You have your own parking spot. Re: the condo- Quiet, and I am a light sleeper. Chorus of birds in the trees on the property begins at dawn. They are the alarm clock I've always wanted. They get more quiet after the initial greeting of the day. The apartment has all the amenities, including good kitchen knives for cooking, pots and pans in good shape, olive oil, pls more. All the beach gear and snorkeling gear you could want. You have a partial ocean view from the lanai, it is really nice to sit out at the table and eat while gazing at the water and hills. Do be safe at this beach - big waves break right on sand - just use common sense and you will be fine.

First of all, the area was amazing!! Manini beach was literally a 2-3 minute walk down the road for great snorkeling (gear is provided, if you need it) with a path for some amazing sunsets. There are a couple of fruit stands in the neighborhood, which was great for my mother’s daily banana stroll. You can see the bay from the amazing lanai that we spent so much time on to watch the snorkelers, kayakers and dolphins. The house itself was great! Split into half, with 2 bedrooms and a bathroom on either side, separated by an open concept living room and kitchen. The dining room is outside…where else would you want to sit down and eat? There were A/Cs in the bedrooms if you needed them, but the ocean breeze was usually enough for most of my party. There were lots of spices in the cabinets for cooking and some staples leftover from past renters. The long, winding and narrow roads make some great scenery, but also make your trip to anywhere else a bit long. I would definitely stay again.

My family and I enjoyed our stay at Justin‘s place. It is very spacious and we were a family of five. My mom, my husband and my two daughters. The kitchen was fully stacked, and the mattresses were super comfortable. The snorkeling gear was a little old so we ended up buying our own gear. The area was great. Very close to a swimming beach and a beach for snorkeling. Justin was very responsive. Always replied right away and very helpful. We hope to come back someday soon!

Part of a condo group, next to (unpretentious) Beaches restaurant - which locals stated was "the best in Kona" - and only steps away from Magic Sands Beach. View out the double wide slider was to clear ocean surf, full of yellow tang and black trigger fish visible in most swells. There is no A/C but the fans (there were 5 but we really only need the two large ceiling fans) kept it very comfortable.) This was April and daytime temperatures were low 80's. All in all a very nice place hanging out or as a home base. Great location for Kona and the beaches north. About .1 mile to La'aloa St, which takes you up to Hwy 11 (bypass highway for north or south travel. I recommend for a group of 2.

We had a wonderful time during our stay. Ariya was super responsive and friendly. The house was clean and well equipped. Views are beautiful. The only drawback for us was that the pool was too deep to let the kids totally loose in as they couldn’t touch the bottom even in the shallow end. I will admit this is unlikely to be a problem for adults. The house is a bit of a drive from stores and towns/ some sites of interest, this was known to us and not an issue. Definitely need a car to get around, and a good idea to have groceries stocked!

This is a lovely space, immaculate, thoughtfully stocked, and conveniently located. I found myself thinking, "wow, nice touch" frequently, and Ruth is super helpful and friendly but also respectful of your privacy. And if you step out into the street (which is quiet), you can watch the sunset over the ocean. Don't hesitate to book it. I'm really glad I did. It's one of the best vacation rentals I've seen.

Erika’s Airbnb in Kailua-Kona was fantastic, and it was truly a pleasure to stay here. It is a sprawling condo with a great layout and a beautiful living room, kitchen, balcony, and bedroom. In addition to all the very useful appliances and amenities the condo came with (a large fridge, a washer/dryer, etc.), the condo was adorned with a bulletin of wonderful recommendations and was stocked with all the supplies we could possibly need, from kitchen items to cleaning supplies to snorkeling gear, fostering a best-of-both-worlds feeling of “staying at home” while enjoying a tropical vacation. The location of the condo is also fantastically convenient, with close proximity by car to gas stations, big-name stores such as Safeway and Wal-Mart, a mix of both quick fast food options and wonderful sit-down restaurants and breweries, the Kona airport, and an array of incredible tour experiences, landmarks, and beach parks in West Hawaii. This condo was perfect for our family for the week. Excellent location, close to beaches and restaurants, but still quiet and peaceful. The lanai view is spectacular and hearing the waves crash all day was awesome! The place is cozy, cute, and clean. Highly recommend.
