Holiday rentals with outdoor seating in Kalamaki Beach

A really great apartment, super close to the beach (aprox 50m), close to supermarkets, restaurants, bars. Everything you need is a few min away. The apartment was delivered super clean, in the fridge I had a cold bottle of water and a bottle of apple juice, fruits on the table and butter&honey. Christos was very proactive, I locked myself out of the apartment (closed the door with the key inside 🤦🏻), I wrote him on airbnb and he was there in 10 min to help me out. Overall, a great place to stay in Rethymno and a super host !!!

A little piace of heaven! This is not just an incredibly beautiful villa with a gorgeous garden and pool. There comes so much more with this stunning location, from the peaceful surroundings to Irina's attention to detail and kindness. If you are looking for a place to relax, recharge and enjoy Crete far from tourist spots in complete privacy this is your place.

Heike's place was super well maintained and had everything your heart desires. We felt comfortable and enjoyed our time very much! Heike was also on site on the day of our arrival and personally gave us many helpful tips and explained everything necessary. She was also quickly available to us at any time. Utensils for grilling meat and fish were also fully available. The surrounding small towns with numerous localities are quickly and easily reached by car. If you are athletic, you can also do it on foot :) . But even at home you can unwind, either in a hammock or a lounger.

I had an incredibly nice stay at Effie's Cozy House! The apartment was exactly as it was described – maybe even better. It was clean, cozy and well equipped and the location was perfect for exploring Rethymno. The host was incredibly helpful and accommodating throughout the stay, and went out of her way to make me feel welcome. Everything lived up to expectations – and more! Highly recommended.

n's stay in the guesthouse of Violetta was nothing short of stunning. The cottage is beautifully situated in the hills, with breathtaking sea views – waking up every morning was a small moment of happiness. The facilities are completely in order and make it possible to enjoy a relaxing holiday without worries. Everything was neat, well equipped and comfortable. Violetta herself is a fantastic host: friendly, helpful and always available for questions or tips. Thanks to her warm welcome and the soothing environment we had an unforgettable time. Very nice house, tastefully furnished and decorated, with all the amenities, large kitchen, barbecue, etc. Outside we enjoyed the large, very shaded terrace. The courtyard offers great privacy. The nearby village is very pleasant on foot, and offers many restaurants and cafes. Everything was perfect, I recommend it. A big thank you to the owners for their responsiveness and attention.

A huge favorite! Cleopatra is an exceptional host, full of warmth, generosity and attention. As soon as we arrived, we felt like at home. She takes care of every detail to make the stay unforgettable and even takes the time to make sure everything goes smoothly. The house is a real cocoon, original and full of charm, with an atmosphere that invites you to relax. And what about the setting… a breathtaking view of the sea and the mountain! Thank you from the bottom of the heart to Cleopatra for this timeless moment. A precious meeting and a stay we'll never forget!

We had a wonderful stay at Ilse's. It is perfectly situated in Rethymno old town, so that you are no more than 10-15 minutes stroll from the beach, harbour, and shops and restaurants are on the doorstep. Ilse was extremely helpful and responsive whenever I had questions and throughout the booking process. It's exactly as shown in the photos, and the rooftop is a wonderful addition. I will say if you struggle with stairs then it's probably not for you, but if that's not a consideration it's a perfect set up. Thank you Ilse, I will be recommending this spot.

Alexandro was very responsive and helpful. The location has a beautiful view of the harbor and very convenient to downtown stores and restaurants. I would definitely recommend!

Our stay at Nikos' place was just amazing. The apartment was not only easy to find, but also extremely spacious and comfortable for two people. We liked the decor very much. The location is great, whether on foot or by car, you are quickly close to restaurants, cafes and a small supermarket that offers everything you need. We especially appreciated the garden, but it was temporarily affected by a construction site, which will be over soon. We will be happy to come back!

Olga and his husband give us a great welcoming, the appartement is clean and well places. I do recommand to stay in Chryso appartement !

Dimitris has been a very helpful host suggesting us a lot of activities around Kouses. Zaneta is taking care of the flat and she has been very friendly and present for any request. She also brought us the bread from the church and a traditional soup on Easter. We could understand each other even if we didn't speak any language in common. The terrace of the flat has a wonderful view on the Psiloritis mount and the hills around and it's great time to sit there at sunset. The village is cozy, very friendly people, a great kafenion/taverna. Maria -the owner- adopted us for dinner and we loces her home-made food. We felt at home. Definitely I would reccomend staying at Dimitris' place!

Nice apartment, well located close to the beach and within walking distance to the old town. Some noise from the street, but not disturbing. Nice view from balcony.

Smart Plan was the best AirBnB that we have ever stayed in! And we have stayed in over 50 AirBnB’s! Our hosts were so kind, friendly and they brought the most delicious treats for us! Fresh from the garden and cooked from the heart! The apartment was clean, spacious, had plenty of storage, it had everything that we needed in the kitchen, comfortable living room, easy to use TV, comfortable bed, very quiet at night, and two balconies! We used one balcony to hang our clothes to dry and the other to enjoy the sun at the end of a long day of sightseeing! They also had private parking for us! We felt right at home and truly enjoyed our stay. We highly recommend them! Our experience could not have been better!

What a great spacious apartment and even better location,.. and with a panoramic sea view from the spacious balcony/terrace. What more do you need? And chose Kalamaki over Matala (just visit) if you want to relax.

BEST HOST EVER! I’ve never been so happy either a host and very comfortable and lovely place. All the facilities were above the expectations. Can’t wait to stay at George’s place again.

This was a gem of a place, really well designed, huge balcony and panoramic view, sea, mountains, beautiful church etc. 10 mins walk to major sights, the Museum of Archeology was fabulous and also the quirky Museum of Ancient Technology was fascinating. Great food and coffee options all around. Giannis was quick to respond and I loved my stay here.

Kostis was such a helpful host and we loved his neat-as-a-pin and comfortable apartment a stone’s throw from Lion Square, particularly lounging in the hammock on the large, sun-drenched balcony with a view to snow-capped mountains and the beautiful blue sea. Kostis was kind enough to leave us some fresh bread, butter and honey for breakfast which we were grateful for as we arrived late on a Saturday night. His recommendations were excellent and he booked us a table at a sensational restaurant just around the corner (Peskesi) at our request. The apartment was cool on a hot day and the kitchen had everything we needed. The washing machine came in handy too. A very relaxing and comfortable place to stay.

Small but nice accommodation! Very clean, everything necessary available. Communication was quick, easy and very friendly. :) The beach is really right outside the door (max. 1 minute walk), the matching beach bar with free loungers is also on site. 🌊🍹🌞 The only suggestion for improvement would be a vacuum cleaner or broom. After 9 days, even with great caution, sand or dirt gets into the apartment. It would have been practical to be able to remove it. Happily again! 🫶🏻

Stamatis was an excellent host who responded excellently to questions and requests. A great apartment, super well-maintained, excellent amenities and everything you need. Great kitchen, nice bathrooms, and a fantastic hot tub. The south-facing terrace was perfect for sunshine during the day. Washing machine and cleaning utensils were also available, so a longer stay of 4 weeks was just great. Gladly again and again. A nice place to stay, with a great host and super nice restaurants nearby. Clear recommendation for those who want to experience both tranquility, as well as beach proximity and restaurants. With a car (also from Stamatis) you can easily explore the island from here. We'll be back, for sure!
