Monthly Rentals in Kobeigane

Stayed between 15-18th of April 2025. This is the second time I visited this property. Absolutely a gem of place to relax and unwind. The location is full of nature only the sound of the birds can be heard. The views are stunning with a beautiful lake in front and a large paddy field. An unspoilt village to show children how the rural village life goes about. There are plenty of bicycle for the guests to use FoC and Can take a bicycle ride across the village and on the bundt of the lakes in and around and enjoy the picturesque views of the lakes and the Galkiriyagama rock that spans for 7kms. During the night only the sound of nature you can hear. In the evening a dip in the lake with the villages is not to be missed. The property is very clearly kept. The food is absolutely tasty and made in a kitchen cleanly kept. Ideal place to enjoy traditional Sri Lankan Rice and Curry and other Sri Lankan food. A place definitely you want to revisit over and over again. Great value for money.

I can’t recommend this place highly enough. It is a beautiful place in a secluded part of town tucked off the main road on a calm side street. The accommodation is beautiful, the rooms clean and super quiet and the ac works brilliantly. The host is so responsive and quick to reply. There are family and friends who are local and proved so helpful in finding local places as well as being great hosts and entertainers. I’d also strongly suggest getting dinner and breakfast cooked for you if the option is available, you won’t regret it, it was stunning and great value!! It felt so much more than just a place to stay, I feel I’ve had the full ‘Sri Lanka’ treatment that I hear so often about, warm, kind and full of laughter. We stayed for one night at Lucky‘s new „Farm-stay“ house. The listing is not updated yet, but still it was a very pleasant surprise for us. The house ist built on an untouched property/garden and is surrounded by nature. Yes, you should be aware that this is a more nature-near option. In our book a big plus on the total experience. He is finishing the Farm-stay at the moment and is adding sweet details like an outdoor shower. If you like to stay close to nature and don’t mind some insects and frogs then this is the place to stay at. Lucky was really nice and communicated very transparently. He also arranged a flexible pick-up (our train was quite delayed) and drop off in the morning. His wife did cook amazing dinner for a reasonable price even after we asked for it like one hour before. The included breakfast she made was also delicious. Overall they are great hosts and really do their best to make your stay the greatest!

We just had a thoroughly enjoyable 3 nights over the Sri Lankan New Year. The staff on site were wonderfully attentive and friendly. Breakfast was fresh juice, fruit, toast and eggs. We opted to eat dinner there too and it was also excellent- grilled fish and curry. Good value as well. The kids loved the pool while my wife enjoyed being away from the more touristy areas, but only a short tuk tuk ride from supermarket, coffee shop and gym. Would definitely recommend for a few days relaxation! The staff also went above and beyond when my wife forgot some medicine- one jumped on a bus for 2 hours to bring it to her! Fantastic all round!
