Dongchonjae is located in Seochon Village, close to Gwanghwamun Square and Gyeongbokgung Palace in the centre of Seoul. Dongchonjae, built about 100 years ago, is a traditional hanok that has been officially certified by the Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Korea Tourism Organisation. Dongchonjae has been run by a retired couple who opened their home to guests in October 2020. Dongchonjae is located on a 380.17 m² plot of land It consists of one building, and the space is the main house (Anche/Main House), Sarangchae/Detached House, and Annex. Guests have exclusive use of the Main House and the Annex. The host is in a separate building You will be staying in a detached house, and we will personally assist you with any necessary services, including providing breakfast. We hope you can comfortably experience the tranquil beauty and subtle atmosphere of a traditional hanok at Dongchonjae. We dreamed of 'living our daily life like a trip' in a space full of our own taste, away from the apartment, and fixed the hanok. We wanted to balance the familiarity of everyday life with the novelty of travel. Please take the time to feel the warmth and freshness in the combination of modern furniture that has been completed in the rafters of the hanok, which has been piled up over the years. You can sit on the floor or sofa and enjoy tea while listening to music. Enjoy a warm tea and reflection while touching the carefully crafted furniture. The book is prepared as a manuscript focusing on architecture, interior, flowers, plants, and photography. I hope that the sensual images encountered at the travel destination will become a new vitality in everyday life.
