Two-room apartment Sunila by Aalto Päivölä

Renovated two-room apartment (45m2) in Pieteettilä, with bedroom, living room, kitchenette, bathroom and balcony. Sunila is a unique forest suburb designed by Alvar and Aino Aalto. The apartment is in a terrace house without an elevator in Päivölä, which was completed in 1939. The center of Kotka is about 13 km and Karhula about 3 km. The apartment has been renovated as much as possible to its original state, and it is furnished on a circular economy basis, mainly with furniture designed by Aalto. We wash textiles with odorless detergents.

The yard building, with its own yard and terrace, is located in a rural area along the Kymijoki River, in the beautiful landscape of Siikakoski. This cozy place is just a 5-minute drive to services. Massive logs and wooden surfaces bring atmosphere to the upstairs bedroom and living room. Downstairs there is a small but well-equipped kitchen and a small bathroom/toilet. The parking space is in front of the door. During the summer, guests have access to the host's beach, where there is a swimming opportunity.

Cozy, spacious two-room apartment in a quiet and natural area. The beach is nearby, and outdoor/skiing trails start right next door. The distance to the center of Kotka is about 9 km/12 min. Jumalniemi shopping center is 2 km/5 min away. The apartment has everything you need for your stay. The view from the apartment windows opens towards the parking spaces and the park. Free parking either on the street in summer or in the backyard of the house in winter.

Guests will have privacy in a separate house beside our main house. The house has a large bedroom with airconditioning, a kitchenette, a private toilet, an electric sauna and a shower room. The apartment is located in a small house with private entrance opposite to our own house. No nextdoor neighbours. One double bed (width 160 cm) or two separate beds (width 80cm) and possibility for an extra bed on a sofa bed (width 100cm).
