Renovated two-room apartment (45m2) in Pieteettilä, with bedroom, living room, kitchenette, bathroom and balcony. Sunila is a unique forest suburb designed by Alvar and Aino Aalto. The apartment is in a terrace house without an elevator in Päivölä, which was completed in 1939. The center of Kotka is about 13 km and Karhula about 3 km. The apartment has been renovated as much as possible to its original state, and it is furnished on a circular economy basis, mainly with furniture designed by Aalto. We wash textiles with odorless detergents.

Soiniityn kartano Kyra's room

This room is named after the successful racehorse rider Kyra Kyrklund. Kyra was the goddaughter of the previous hostess of the house, Anita. Kyra spent a lot of time in Soiniity as a child and found her love for horses in Soiniity. Once upon a time, Kyra had an accident with Soiniity's cold-blooded Irja mare; she fell off the horse and hurt her hand. The room has a lot of horse-themed items, such as the riding boots of the house owner's grandfather, Jaeger Colonel Bjarne Nordenswan.

THE place for a 60's lover! This apartment is located in a peaceful area right next to the city centre but still close to the nature. The apartment is on the 2,5 floor with no elevator. The grocery store, bus station, flea markets and Kappeli Park can all be easily reached by foot. This apartment fits 5 adults. There are two single beds (90cm) in the bedroom, and in the living room you can find one sofa bed which is 105cm wide and a futon sofa bed which is 140cm wide.

The house was built in 1948, just after the Continuation War. Information about its history is a bit difficult to find, but at some point the house has been inhabited by stevedores working in the nearby old port, and from that the house has been named the "stevedore house".
