Holiday rentals in Kuroshio, Hata District

This was a beautiful place, spotlessly clean and incredibly comfortable. Close to the 40th temple and a great spot for walking pilgrims. Highly recommended.

Minmi welcomed us kindly, and we enjoyed the fish dishes you gave us in the evening. Most of the Japanese accommodations were cold, but Minmi's accommodation provided a thick duvet, so I was able to sleep warmly. There was also a heater in the living room, so I was able to play until late at night ~ Most importantly, there was a beautiful sea in front of the sunset, and I was able to spend a good time in a secluded sea without people.

I stayed during GW, but I really enjoyed nature in a hideaway in the middle of nature.I also enjoyed the BBQ very much.It can accommodate up to 10 people, so it is recommended to go with large families and friends and family.

There is a BBQ and a bonfire, and if you have ingredients, charcoal, and firewood, you can enjoy it very much. The kids arrived and seemed to love the swing, and they played with them all the time. There was also a hammock, so it was nice to be able to play without fighting. The starry sky at night was also beautiful and awesome.

The living room was spacious and clean, and we had a relaxing time with our accompanying dog. The host, Ozaki, was also friendly and accommodating. I want to use it again next time I go to Kochi.I thought.

Comfortable for 4 people in a very large new house.There was water and dining on the first floor, and the three bedrooms on the second floor were spacious, parking was large, and there were daily necessities, and there was a convenience store within walking distance, so there was no inconvenience at all. I'd love to stay again if I get the chance.

The only place to stay when visiting Kochi or even Shikoku. We found this property by chance on Air BnB and didn’t realise how much of a gem it was. Upon arriving we were greeted by Akiko who showed us around this amazing and historic house. He made us feel at home and informed on the facilities available. They also booked us a reservation for dinner that evening and gave us lots of recommendations for sightseeing in the area. The house was very comfortable and well equipped. We even got to swim in the nearby river which was like something from a movie! Beautiful! The breakfasts were made by Akio and Akiko and very delicious - the best breakfast we have eaten in Japan! All fresh and locally sourced ingredients. There is also a local shop next door which sells a small amount of produce and crafts! Overall we recommend this property to anyone wanting an unforgettable experience on Shikoku with fabulous Japanese hospitality. Thankyou to Akio, Akiko and children! 💙💙💖

Masao hosts a house he built with his own hands. Very homely feel. Received us himself in the evening and showed us the whole house and its facilities. A lovely, large and well maintained courtyard with flowering greenery, a fish pond. Very quiet and rural setting. Shikoku Island is just wonderful and beautiful. Highly recommend to come If there is no car, it is difficult to reach, so it is recommended for those traveling with a car

Staying at Roseanne’s place was an absolute joy. Her beautiful house was immaculate and so aesthetically pleasing. Roseanne met us when we arrived, showed us round and offered lots of recommendations and local knowledge in addition to the list she sent before we checked in. We went to Nakatsu Gorge which was stunning as well as the Shimanto River. We went to a local restaurant called Yakiniku which had the best beef we’ve ever eaten and also took a drive to eat at Chika which was an incredible Izakaya place serving up many different delicious dishes including lots of local fish. The only problem with our time in Shimanto was we didn’t stay long enough! Such a beautiful part of Japan with some of the most friendly and welcoming people we’ve met on our trip. Roseanne’s place is the perfect base to explore and then return to and really relax as well. She is a lovely host, so friendly and generous with her time and knowledge of the locality. Highly recommend!
