We love our stay at the villa. It’s gated and private with direct access to the lake behind the house. On clear days you can see the three volcanoes at the lake. The house is surrounded by beautiful gardens. Very peaceful, you can hear birds singing. The interior is beautiful and cozy for the four of us. The house manager Juan is there during the day and took great care of us during our stay. We love that we are just a few steps from the center of the village with a church, market and few local shops. Santa Catalina Palopo is a charming, small, very local village. Just 10-15 mins tuk tuk ride away from Panajachel where you can catch public boat to visit other parts of the lake. We are glad we picked this place as our home base during our visit.

This is definitely the best Airbnb we’ve ever stayed in. It’s modern, nicely designed, has everything you need, super spacious and every room has the most incredible views. Everything you do: waking up, eating meals, working in the office, washing up, showering, sunbathing you’re spoiled with the lake and volcano views. While you’re staying not in a town, tuktuks are super easy to get and you’ve got Panajachel nearby to get boats to the other towns. Jaime the caretaker is very nice and easy to communicate with. I couldn’t recommend this place anymore. No notes!! I feel we might have to come back in the future :). As many others say, it’s even better in real life.

Somehow the pictures don’t do justice to this place!! It is way more beautiful! I felt like I own the world, with that view of the lake and the volcanos. The stuff were very helpful, very kind, schedule a massage for me and were there to answer any questions. Two things you need to know though, they were tooo many stairs to arrive to the house from the lake, and they don’t have a comfortable living space ( basically no living room!! Or they do have a small space, but the chairs are not comfortable!!!)

This is a gorgeous air bnb. The host has thought of everything and was very responsive to questions. The caretakers are kind and helpful. Our kids loved the hot tub and all the outdoor spaces. Beautiful landscaping and the lake is breathtaking. I loved the open-air feel. We stayed three nights and wished we could stay longer, it was so comfortable and relaxing. Thank you so much, Ana! Maya’s home felt like an oasis, very private and safe. Truly a beautiful home just as pictured. The bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed the views from the roof deck. Loved having the cats there to greet us. Would definitely stay again.

Would recommend staying here for large groups . We loved our stay. The road to the location was not as bad as reviews mentioned. We had an experienced driver who knew his way. Upon arrival Don Rojelio greeted us and assisted with our luggage’s. He was very knowledgeable ,connected us to a private lancha and was always responsive to our needs. We hired Cristina services for meals and were great. The views are phenomenal. Ghada was also very responsive. Thank you for the stay we hope to stay here in the future!

Beautiful place with breathtaking views. Definitely recommend but you have to be ready for the hike up and down to get to the cabin.

This place was beautiful. The peaceful environment and the AMAZING view were definitely worth it. Everything was as described and more. We really enjoyed out time here and would definitely love to be back. the kids had a great time at the pool, the lake and around the house. a beautiful place to rest, enjoy and to reset. We recommend this place.

Joshua's home overlooking Lake Atitlan is a great find. Beautiful views, right on (above) the water, easy boat service into town (you can go by road via tuk-tuk but there are many, many steps down to the house), very nicely appointed and equiped, and really nice outdoor space (patio, balconies, jacuzzi, waterfront, etc. We had a lovely stay and definitely plan to come back. Joshua is very responsive and the local caretaker is great and available 24/7 - together they provided great customer service and they offered many good recommendations about local businesses, services, tours, and so on.

Great location if you’re looking for a peaceful and calm place to stay. Very nice views from the terrace and beautiful garden. We loved the direct access to the lake and it was perfect for a calm morning dip. A big plus is the well-equipped kitchen with basics like coffee, salt & pepper as well as oil & vinegar. Furthermore, you can order breakfast from the staff one night in advance or get a pizza delivery in the evening. Things to consider: - The location is quite remote and very calm, which naturally comes with one downside: You always need a tuctuc or taxi to get there. The walk to Panajachel is about 40 minutes on a road with lots of traffic and without a proper pedestrian walk. - You always need to contact the host if you want to access or leave the property, as the main gate can only be opened by the staff. This was a bit of an inconvenience for us, especially if you need to leave immediately. The staff is very responsive and quite quick to react though.

Tres Tortugas is an incredible property, astoundingly beautiful, and worth the challenge of getting there on the unpaved road leading to the house. Alex helped us get a driver to bring us there and we are happy we didn't drive there ourselves. We were coming from Antigua and did our supermarket shopping there so we didn't drive off the property at all until we the end of our stay. Staff lives on the property and helped us bring our luggage in when we arrived. The pictures don't fully capture its beauty. The views are spectacular, the property grounds lush and really well-maintained, with lake access down quite a few stairs directly to Lake Atitlan and a private dock. Alex helped us arrange private boats to ferry us for day trips to other towns along the lake. All in all a truly special experience.

Loved the cottage! It is very cozy and has a nice green environment, with birds and flowers. The house is small but has everything we need. All servicemen and spaces are fine, accessible and cared for. The around is beautiful. It is easy to get to and you can walk to the village, or take a tuc tuc. It offers privacy, but doesn't feel alone, because there are other casitas and houses nearby. Santiago is a fascinating village in terms of culture, the market is very spacious, and the surrounding nature is splendid. Being able to visit nature reserves and see the quetzal is wonderful! A perfect place to recharge the battery, but also very good to work with. The hosts were pending, an agile and very pleasant communication. The cleaning staff is very nice too. I felt welcome and well attended.

This cabin is the perfect escape—quiet, surrounded by forest, and filled with birdsongs. The views are absolutely breathtaking, making every moment here special. While it's outside of town, it's just a 5-minute tuktuk ride (about $2USD) or a 15-minute walk to the restaurants, cafes, and bars. Town can be noisy, so this peaceful setting is a huge plus. The solar power, Starlink internet, and filtered water are a rare find and make the stay even more comfortable. Ximena, the host, was amazing—friendly, responsive, and incredibly helpful. If you want serenity, incredible views, and great amenities, this is the place. Highly recommend!

A very nice cabin to relax, comfortable and excellent service.

let me first start off by saying, you NEED to book here if you’re visiting Lake Atitlan. Angel and the entire staff was so friendly. They made us feel like we’re their family. We visited for my son’s 5th birthday, and they decorated the entire room with balloons and even bought him 2 local car toys. It was amazing. The breakfast, snacks and dinners we ate were always good. They even bought us smores to make one night since upstairs has a little fire pit. My kid loved it! You do have to take a lancha to get here, but ask the host and they should be able to arrange. They had so many amenities for kids to enjoy! Pool, bouncy house, jet skis, kayaks, so much!! Some for a fee, keep that in mind. The only off putting thing we experienced was lack of water since it’s in a rural area. The water works, but you might need to contact host to turn it on. Everything was just amazing and the views were amazing. We are so thankful for Angel and the staff 🥰❤️🙏🏼

The airbnb is beautiful! A large house with a local and aesthetic design. If you are looking for a more local experience and stay I would definitely recommend Magdalena is wonderful, and was very communicative and ready to accommodate to any of our needs. Overall a great house that holds great energy given the people you rent it from are also amazing and good people!

Everything was excellent. Very nice and quiet, it has many amenities. Do not let the jacuzzi through. A very nice experience in front of that landscape at sunset. It is very close walking to the center of the village. The next restaurant is excellent. Carolina, the host is always very attentive. Highly recommend this Airbnb.
