Stella’s Cabin

Make some memories at this unique place. The cabin was originally built for my grandfather to live in and was known as “Grandpa’s Cabin” for many years. The rock work in the patio was done by my grandfather. Original wood floors put in by my dad and grandpa. Stella’s Cabin (Stella’s photo hangs above the bed) is minutes from Sierra Valley, Portola Railroad Museum, Graeagle, Frazier Falls, Lakes Basin Area, Sierra Buttes, Sand Pond, Quincy, and Lake Davis. A short 50-minute drive to Reno, NV.

Cute cabin for two! Set in the midst of Plumas National Forest, Paxton is very secluded. Walking distance to the beautiful Feather River and our own private sand beach. Hiking, swimming and tubing. Close to Lake Almanor, Bucks Lake, the quaint towns of Quincy and Belden, snowshoeing, fishing and many other outdoor activities. We also have a Little Tree Library with books for all ages, or little games to play. Plus, we include many lawn games right here on the historic Paxton Lodge property.

Based at the foot of the world-famous Keddie Wye Trestle, this historic 1906 home offers custom woodwork and attention to detail throughout. Outside you will find extensive decks, private river access, and exquisite landscaping. The property borders the National Forest with exclusive trail access leading to your own private swimming holes. You will enjoy your own unique view of the world famous Keddie Wye. The Skoolie - Forest Glamping

Come stay in our 1992 Thomas school bus that we converted into a beautiful tiny home and now share with all of you in our backyard. It has running water, electricity, a king sized bed, a tiny kitchen and a bathroom. We installed cedar ceilings throughout the bus which makes it feel (and smell) very cozy.
