Stone Cottage in Grounds of a 16th-Century Castle

The cottage sits on the grounds of a castle dating back to 1543 offering an authentic stay. The interior retains a decor that matches the historic charm of the area with modern comforts added and a shared pool in the stunning gardens outside. This is our smallest cottage and cannot take an additional bed or cot. The other cottages are all larger and can do this. All 3 cottages can be rented separately or together. They are in the grounds of a 16th century castle with beautiful gardens and large swimming pool enclosed by stone walls. The lower salon and summer kitchen in the main chateau is available to share. Access is by the side garden gate and all cottages are accessed by stone steps- sadly not suitable for wheelchairs. We will most likely be present living in the main Chateau and available to help and advise about restaurants and things to do in the area. We will share the pool and gardens. The old village is in a beautiful part of France that is has retained its iconic beauty through the centuries and still feels untouched by modern life in many places. Experience true local dining and bakeries with scenic walking trails all around. parking is in the church square below the Chateau. There is a local taxi service in the village and bus service to Avignon, Banyols sur Ceze and Uzes but car hire is recommended. We are 20 minutes from Avignon TGV rail station and about an hour from Marseille, Nimes or Montpellier airports. The cottages are completely private and tranquil.

In the heart of the Alpilles massif, this charming CABANON in typical Provençal stone will captivate you with its comfort and the tranquillity of the location. A little slice of paradise in the AUTOUR DU MAS estate. Located on our farm in Foin de Crau, with meadows as far as the eye can see and, depending on the season, sheep for neighbours. You will appreciate the calm of the place and the proximity of the villages of the Alpilles: Maussane, Saint Rémy, and Les Baux de Provence are 10 minutes away by car. La Cure's Cabanon (Medieval Studio B&B)

The Cabanon is a Provence stone build studio, part of the historical house called "La Cure" on the highest elevation point of Menerbes . Located on the second floor facing southwest, you'll access it using an outside stone stair from the garden on the ground floor. Old fashioned but well maintained. It offer a breathtaking view on the Luberon and a most relaxing environment for a few days of peace. Since April this year "La Cure (Historical Guesthouse)" is also available for booking on Airbnb.
