Holiday rentals with beach access in Litchfield

This was our first experience using Airbnb and it was excellent. Gina, our host, made the stay extremely welcoming. She’s a fantastic host, very easy to get a hold of and has great communication. She even provided breakfast each morning. Her place was exactly as described in the listing. It was very clean and quiet. It was a pleasure staying here. I’ll definitely be staying here again the next time I’m in Wallingford. Thank you, Gina! You deserve more than five stars!

Lovely lake view and comfy loft. Loved that they supplied daily necessities like shampoo and lotions. Was very nice of them!!

Margie’s place is an amazing hidden gem. The inside is very clean and comfortable. The outside is an experience of its own. The lake will drop your blood pressure immediately. Gorgeous surroundings. The dogs are friendly and lovable. We will be back! 👍🏼

This was the perfect place for me to stay after a long day of travel and before the next day’s early site meeting. I felt so cozy after a wonderfully hot shower that I fell asleep early. And the bed was so comfortable I overslept, but Lisa saved the day by leaving a muffin and drinks so I was able to have a rushed breakfast. The accommodation was exactly what I needed.

Our stay at Julia's home was perfect! We all felt right at home, our grand daughter had lots of books, which she loves and other kids toys. The log cabin was more beautiful than pictured and the claw foot tub in the upstairs suite was the icing on the cake.

Winter wonderland in the Berkshires. Enjoyed the snow storm with family while sitting by the fire and drinking coffee. Snow plow cleared driveway for us. Butternut ski area was about 40 minute drive. Matt communicated well during our stay. Would definitely come back again.

Spent a wonderful week during Christmas here with my adult son whom I hadn’t seen in years. Launa went above and beyond with making the home cozy and comfortable and the Christmas decor was more than I could have imagined. Launa allowed an early check in although I had an emergency which did not allow me to check in early but she offered me the option. Launa also allowed us a late check out which was very much appreciated. The only thing I wished was that the beds were a little less firm as I found them to be too firm but that’s just my preference. Very tranquil place and many memories were made. I would love to stay again perhaps during warmer months to enjoy the lake and outdoors but all in all it’s a beautiful home.

This Sharon home is the perfect spot for people who love old quirky homes. Hidden doors, lots of beadboard, beautiful windows original to the house, creaky floors, floral wallpaper, etc. We are those people! For any parents with toddlers: the house is close to the road on a hill so we had to keep an eye on our 3yo outside but we didn’t mind. We played a lot of games in the living room overlooking the trees and made s’mores at night outside. My girls loved the swing in the screened-in porch. Lots of hikes nearby. Good restaurants within 20 minutes. Lots of little downtowns to explore. Our friends live in Amenia so it was perfect to only be 15 min away. Would stay here again!

Yellow Door House was a fantastic stay, paired with an even more incredible host. The house itself was well-furnished and clean, with plenty of extra house supplies for us to use. Kathleen was also impeccable as a host, going above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience; one of our party left behind a water bottle, and she was so accommodating as to ship it back to us. I could not recommend this place more!

Enjoyed a perfect 4 night stay on Candlewood Isle with our family. We loved the house’s amazing lake views with full windows! Great spaces to relax and nice tucked away corners for quiet also. The mattresses were extra comfortable! Easily accessible to local towns for good dining. We would absolutely stay here again when in the area. Smooth seamless stay!

We loved our stay here. 4 nights, and we did not want to leave. Dreamy, private location, surrounded by woods. Angela and Nico were responsive and gave us all the info needed. Would definitely stay here again.

What we needed was really just a "heads in the bed" type situation as we had plans that were to keep us away from the house most of the day but really the place was very homey and lovely to come back to. Everything was just as described. The hosts were flexible and offered early check-in/late check-out unprompted which was nice to have some time to relax the day we checked out. Overall it was a great stay!
