This is a guest suite attached to our home. It is located in a peaceful neighborhood. 10 min walk to Baton Rouge Main Public Library and Botanical Gardens. It is perfect for a maximum of 4 people as it is furnished with a queen size bed and a sofa bed. Appliances: full size refrigerator, a kitchenette that has a microwave, an air fryer, crockpot, coffee maker (NOT keurig), toaster and waffle maker, blender and rice cooker. Two miles from the interstate, The Barn is on three acres of peaceful private property. As you pull on to our road The Barn is to the left of our home. Parking signs are clearly marked. The Barn - Downstairs is a 600 square foot efficiency apartment with a comfortable king size bed, a kitchenette, a den area with a queen size sofa sleeper, a bathroom with a shower and a 55” TV that swivels. Amenities include a patio, a charcoal grill, a fire pit, a pond for fishing, and a nature trail.

When you arrive you will find a 1938 brick home set on a shady hill, a dedicated parking space and private entrance off of the screened in porch. We are the second driveway on the right. The property is surrounded by nature which gives the impression of being out in the country, when in fact, "civilization" is a mere 2 minutes away. Interstate I-20 is also just minutes away. The private bedroom's amenities include modern appliances and antiques that complement the look of the home.

The "mother in law" apartment you are renting is in a lovely uptown neighborhood 4 blocks from the St Charles Street Car , 1.5 blocks from Magazine St and Magazine St Bus. I live in the front part of the home and I've lived here for my whole life. This apartment is great for travelers to New Orleans and is in one of the most desired parts of the city, Uptown New Orleans. Nearby restaurants include Casamento's, Superior Seafood, Osteria Lupo, Le Petit Grocery and Shaya.

We are two blocks from the Convention Center. Please note we are not on a quiet corner in the Crescent city, during working weekdays it’s busy. Nights and weekends however are restful and relaxing. If any city noise is an issue for you though we suggest staying somewhere else.
