Fino agli anni sessanta del secolo scorso, la piazza era sede del mercato ortofrutticolo all'ingrosso ed era considerato un quartiere molto povero. Nel corso degli anni ha recuperato il suo splendore per diventare una delle zone più ambite, sia per la magnifica collocazione che per la tranquillità.

Sculpted natural stone, river stone, brick baked in furnace and exposed wood........also an essay of hydraulic technology of 600 years ago: a water drainage duct built by hand in modular terracotta. It will be a pleasure to go out on foot or with our bikes, but also to return, relax....and feel Lucchese!
