Kita Kamakura is a green area with many Zen temples. This [Sumika Tanshukusha] is located on the hillside, up the trail and stairs leading to the mountain. Outside the large window is a large palm tree and maple tree. In spring, there is fresh green, in summer, there are plenty of leaves, in autumn, there are yellow and red leaves, and in winter, you can see the Great Ship Kannon behind the branches that have fallen. There is no parking lot because it is only accessible by stairs. In the early Showa period, cars were not yet common in this area, and people mainly made a living by raising horses, cows, goats, chickens, etc. in stables. There is a renovated stable on our property, which is a charming space. The stable is also a space exclusively for guests. Children are welcome, and up to one small dog is allowed. In addition, although it is limited to certain seasons, you can enjoy activities such as picking shiitake mushrooms grown on logs, digging up bamboo shoots, picking bracken, and harvesting yuzu.
