10 out of 10! This place was just what we needed. It’s private and peaceful but close enough to the city. The check in process was straightforward. The host was very responsive and the house had all of the amenities of home. The view was amazing and very tranquil. I felt at ease in this beautiful oasis. Traveling there: It’s a bit scary if you are not familiar with the mountainous roads of St. Thomas. The steep hills will definitely require a 4x4 vehicle and I suggest that you rent one at the airport. Getting around will be tough without it. Just when you think that you are going the wrong way and you have literally hit rock bottom or Shore bottom, keep going ! You’re almost there! If you arrive at night, good luck! 🙏🏽 There are some stray cats and a very friendly but cautious dog hanging around. They are not bothersome or aggressive. We were so happy with Rick's place. The view was spectacular and filled with all kinds of wildlife. We watched Sea Turtles swim every day, there were iguanas all over the beautiful flowering shrubs, and there were pelicans and hummingbirds flying around every day. The best part was the private beach! We snorkeled every day and even walked over to Magen's bay beach/bar for lunch a couple times. Rick was very friendly and easy to talk to. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to visit again. Thank you, Rick!

This is a great spot to be able to go all around the island. It is central to everything. It is quiet with plenty to do within the resort area. The food for breakfast and dinner was phenomenal.

We absolutely loved our stay and are already planning our return! The views are breathtaking, and Selwyn’s warm, laid-back hospitality made us feel truly cared for. The island atmosphere was exactly what we hoped for — we could keep the windows and doors open to enjoy the breeze or use the AC when needed. We spent our days surrounded by birds and lizards, soaking in the stunning views of the ocean and Magens Bay. If you embrace the easygoing island vibe, you’ll feel right at home here. The water temperature can vary (but honestly, who minds when you’re showering outdoors with a view?), and the property has a relaxed, lived-in feel — it’s not a hotel, and it’s not supposed to be. The boho spirit is part of what makes it so special. You'll find things like coolers, chairs, and other beach essentials laid out for your use, adding to the welcoming, casual atmosphere.
