“Location, location, location. It does not get any better than this. You are ON the beach. I could imagine staying in Niko's place for the entire summer. The views from this flat are incredible and the spacious terrace is incredible for taking your morning coffee/tea, a lunch break from the beach and an evening beer. The apartment is spacious and well appointed. Definitely recommend for anyone looking to experience the quieter side of Crete. This little town is really sweet and I will definitely return as soon as possible.”

“The apartment is just a few meters from the pretty harbor in Makry Gialos - and it's even nicer than the photos. The beautiful terrace offers privacy and relaxation. The apartment itself is exceptional, beautiful as in a living magazine and yet thoughtful and functional. Wonderfully coherent design and great decoration, very big and everything there, what you need - really everything! Starting with a washing machine, iron, ironing board, followed by hair dryer, shampoo, shower gel, a great kitchen equipment, more than enough hangers and much more you are completely supplied. You could spend months there and really feel at home. Zeta's nice mother Christina discreetly in the background ensures that everything is really right and the guest feels very welcome - water, a few sweet treats and some fruit we received as a welcome present. After a few days you get fresh bedding and fresh hand and bath towels. Finally, there was a bottle of homemade raki and olive oil. Makry Gialos itself may not be charming for a passenger, but a short walk from the apartment takes you to a charming piece of Crete. A delightful little harbor with the traditional white houses, a small fine beach in the village with beautiful sand, many good tavernas and - above all - you can still feel the much-cited Cretan hospitality. Incidentally, one also learns Greek life, because even the locals go out in the evening to eat and celebrate. Moreover, Makry Gialos is an ideal starting point from which to explore Crete's beautiful and still more primitive East: Xerokampos with its exceptional beaches, tranquil Sitia, delightful mountain villages, the enchanting Chandras Plateau, the beautiful Kouremenos beach and much more. Definitely rent a car! In conclusion, one of the best Airbnb accommodations we have encountered in recent years!”

“We stayed 6 nights in the comfortable, clean apartment of Elena and Giorgios. They are such lovely people! They gave us a very warm welcome and offered some great advice about getting around in the area of Makrigialos (very good beaches, food, traditional dance etc). We were surprised with a tasteful homemade welcoming snack and a typical drink. And as a farewell Elena brought us a nice little present. During our stay they asked if we needed anything, in a very friendly way, not pushy or anything. We were very happy in the apartment. The location is very good. From the spacious balcony you have the best views over Makrigialos, Analipsi and right in front of course the wide blue sea! We definitely recommend staying with them. If we come to Crete again we will come to see them again.”
