Named after the adorable creatures that abound in our garden, Bushbaby Bungalow is situated in the leafy, quiet and secure suburb of Mhlatikop. Just 2km from the Malelane Gate to the Kruger National Park, 41km to the Mozambique border and 29km from the Swazi border, this venue is ideal for the holiday maker wanting to explore the Kruger Park, or the businessman or woman looking for a comfortable stop over on the way to Swaziland or Mozambique.
“Gareth and his family are very nice hosts. The accommodation was very clean and spacious and had everything you could need. There is air conditioning in the bedroom. There is also a pool in the garden that you can use. The location is perfect as it only takes three minutes to the Malelane Gate of the Kruger National Park. We would go back.”
The free standing wooden cottage, Timmerstuga, (Swedish translation for wooden cottage) has been built in this Scandinavian style and decorated in a similar minimalist style. The house has a separate entrance for guests. Guests have access to two en-suite bedrooms, one with a queen size bed with shower and a second with two three-quarter beds with bathtub. The self-catering kitchen has a kettle, toaster and coffee machine as well as a convection microwave oven. The patio has a gas BBQ.
“The location is very good, only 10-15 minutes drive from Malelane Gate, there are malls nearby for shopping ~ We stayed for two nights. The first day was about 10pm before check-in. The landlord's wife was waiting for us in the room. The next night I came to see if we needed any help. I really liked it.”
Beautiful cottage situated on the doorstep of the Kruger National Park. Nestled on a farm with scenic sugarcane fields all around. Just off the N4 highway about 50km from Mozambique border, 40km from the Swaziland border and 58 km from Nelspruit.
“We loved Karen's place for its location, the surrounding scenic beauty and the friendly dogs who became our companions throughout our stay! For an animal and nature lover, this place is a paradise - there are horses, cows and pigs (all of them have been rescued and given a new home), not to mention acres of sugar cane farms surrounding the house. The place is about a 10 minute drive from the Malelane Gate. Warren and Karen were very good and knowledgeable hosts. People may be slightly disappointed by the wifi speed, but we found it to be a much needed digital detox for us city folks!”
