“My husband and I were looking forward to our stay at the Last Stand because we enjoyed it so much the last time a few years ago. Definitely surpassed our expectations! Emily is the most wonderful and thoughtful host and Dean's books are always a treasure to read. We really enjoyed cozying up in the apartment as it snowed lightly outside. Really a perfect place to go to enjoy the outdoors and have a peaceful time under the stars. Felt like coming home!”
*Adjacent to motorcycle racetrack. Not visible, but noisy in daytime 9am-5pm, 4-5 days/wk. Beautiful 1300 sq.ft. house in the mountains 20-min E. of Oneonta. Exquisite views, 1 separate bedroom, 1 open loft bedroom, Gas fireplace, huge lawn, outdoor dining area. Convenient to Cooperstown All Star Village (25 min) & Cooperstown, NY (45 min) *NO WIFI/INTERNET but good cell service. *Well water has sulphur. Healthy, but tastes bad. Bottled water in fridge!
“Dana was an amazing host! She was so friendly and super responsive (within minutes). Her house is not only beautiful and very private but is also extremely clean. The bed in the main bedroom was very comfortable. We loved the electric fireplace. This cabin is tucked away and far from the Main Street. Therefore very private, quiet and quaint. The grounds are beautifully kept and the appliances and interior were all new! We had a lovely time and highly recommend staying at this location. Thank you Dana!”
Our decor is an Adirondack theme. Log bed, knotty pine. ceiling lighting and windows for natural brightness. Quiet, warm, relaxing. A large pond to enjoy, sitting by with a good book or watching the wildlife. We are a short distance from many attractions in Cooperstown including the Baseball Hall of Fame!!!!!!!!!!!!
“Denise welcomed us as soon as we drove in with a friendly smile. She told us about the history of the house and showed us around. She had great tips for shortcuts to Cooperstown and places to go. The house itself is wonderful. Everything is shiny and clean and the decor is truly an Adirondack experience. The yard is well maintained, private and has more than enough outdoor seating. The place is just peaceful and happy. The kitchen had all we the equipment that we needed for breakfast and a grilled dinner. Denise is thoughtful enough to leave coffee, sugar and creamer with both a Keurig and small Mr. Coffee (pods and filters provided). It's the little things that matter and Denise has thought of them all. We had a wonderful time and recommend this house for anyone who is looking for peace and quiet as well as fun adventures in the area. We kayaked on the Susquehanna, took in an opera at Glimmerglass and rode 30 miles on our bikes along the Eerie canal on our way home to Connecticut.”
