Bungalow holiday rentals in Massachusetts

My sisters and I were looking for somewhere local to get away for a couple of days and we stumbled upon Johanna's Airbnb. We stayed in the Mayflower bungalow which was perfect for the 3 of us! It was adorable, clean and had EVERYTHING we needed and more. Johanna also provides chairs and a beach cart which came in so handy. The beach is just a short walk from the bungalow and the cart made it super easy to get there in one trip. We met Johanna on the beach, and she was wonderful! She gave us lots of recommendations to local restaurants and other ideas we hadn't thought of! We are already planning to go back to this hidden gem next year!

This house was cozy and comfortable. We felt right at home. Close to beach and several restaurants.

I proposed to my girlfriend on this trip. I’m pretty confident she said yes because of this Airbnb 😉. This was an absolutely beautiful location and the bungalow was a perfect home to come back to after a day full of activities. Kyle and Co. were perfect guests and extremely responsive when it came to answering questions. I can’t say enough good things about this place (6/5 stars) !!!

I want to thank you Gail for letting me use your family’s cottage. We had a very good time other than it rained the whole time..Beautiful place only thing if you want privacy make sure you plan accordingly.I love this cottage I will definitely return or pass the word on. Beautiful cathedral ceilings all nice wood work barn board the bed rooms ceilings only go half way up and is open it is a older cottage that was the beauty of it. So it is like being on the original cape in a cozy cottage before they started putting up all new houses had a great time everything is fully stocked in kitchen.. I will definitely be returning next year.. Thank you again…

Rosemary was a wonderful and responsive host and provided us with everything we needed throughout our stay. This was a great find! Our family of three fit comfortably in the cottage and there are nice spaces to sit outside on the property too. The location is wonderful, across the street from the beach, and on a less-busy section of the street yet still within walking distance of several restaurants (~0.2-0.4 mile). The beach chairs, mats, and toys were a nice touch and saved us from having to pack our own, which we appreciated. There were also two adult-sized bicycles on-site but we did not use them (though they looked fine). There is a large and clean playground nearby too, which my daughter (age 6) loved. We appreciated the small touches (a thoughtful welcome note and gift, introducing us to some of the neighbors, and helpful notes throughout the home to use the air conditioner and appliances, etc.) We loved staying here and hope to come back!

We loved staying here! The bungalow was nicely decorated, super clean and a short walk to the beach. We were pleasantly surprised by the attention to detail as wel when we discovered the beach chairs and umbrella! We want to come back next summer! 10/10!

We stood at the Tahiti bungalow, overall our stay was amazing! We were there for 4 days and between the beach being a 5 min walk from you and the bay being a 10 min drive, we had plenty to do in the area. The restaurants were amazing nearby whether it was a seafood shack or a old timey snack bar. The bungalow really had some nice beach vibes and was clean with plenty of amenities. Everybody around was very polite and the area we were in was very clean. 10/10 would stay again!

Perfect for a quick or long get away! Loved everything about the place especially the quiet cozy area it’s located. Can’t wait to come back.

This Airbnb was beautiful! It suited my family perfectly and was close to all the activities that we had planned for. Douglas was very helpful and extremely responsive. If you have kids and go in the winter time bring a sled because there is a little hill in the back that my son loved. We didn’t go to the mom’s restaurant but we went to harmony market attached to mom’s for fresh egg sandwiches(that were delicious) in the morning, they also have a great selection of grocery items if you need something quick right by the house. I would recommend if you stay here to make sure upon checking in that you save the door code to get in ahead of time because the service was a little spotty as we arrived and I couldn’t load the check in instructions. Could have been just my cell phone provider and my fault for not saving the code ahead of time but really my only advice. I would stay here again for sure!

Jacob and Lindsey’s place is a little gem, just off the main street. The airbnb pictures don’t do justice to it. It is cozy, comfortable and very well equipped. Wake up to the chirping of exotic birds and then go off for short walks on the Robert Frost trail nearby. Downtown Amherst is a short 5 minute drive away. Jacob’s a very attentive host, and some of our last minute requests were generously accommodated. The prices were a little steep, but for us it was totally worth it as we were in town to attend our son’s commencement ceremony. Overall, 6 stars!

Had Ana amazing stay here this February. Amazing place that is extremely cozy and feels like home.

This small bungalow in Wareham is great to stay and explore the area. If you’re looking for something close to the beach, this wouldn’t be your spot but if you’re going to go out exploring and driving the area, you’d be golden. The house was tidy, AC worked very well, and the linens and floors seemed newly cleaned. While we didn’t cook there the kitchen would’ve been easily accommodating to do so. The bed was comfortable in the queen room, we didn’t use the twins so I cannot review. But our pup loved the natural light. You might also consider a power strip for your stay as outlets are limited in an older house. There are dogs next door who bark at literally any sound, we had our dog with us and had no issues, so for dog barking to stand out to us, it was a lot- so maybe something to consider about this place if the dog barking might disturb your or your young/light sleepers Overall this is a clean, safe place to stay, with responsive hosts.

This is a lovely and very comfortable house - I'm giving it the full five stars for that alone. In addition, Ian is a very good communicator, very helpful both before and during our stay. We loved the comfy beds and thick towels, and the place is spotlessly clean and nicely decorated. The house does have some pretty typical little Airbnb issues, which I suppose arise when the cleaning folks are the main ones paying attention to things, and they of course don't give it the same level of attention that an actual live-in owner would (lamps that are left unplugged, a curtain rod that falls down when you try to open the curtains, sheets that aren't 100% cotton, etc.) But we had a great stay, and when we "learned the ropes" the place had everything we needed. Recommended!
