Relax in the stylish and quiet house on the edge of the forest in the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, not far from the Rennsteig (2 km away). My family and I live on the sunny outskirts of Waldau, directly in the beautiful Ansbachtal at the foot of the Thuringian Forest. A separate entrance leads you to your area of the house. The bright and newly renovated rooms invite you to relax. The forest is almost at your doorstep. It is only a few minutes by bike to the Ratscher mountain lake. The Goethe city of Ilmenau, the state capital of Erfurt or the Vestestadt of Coburg in neighboring Bavaria are easily accessible by highway.

Vacation home in the Thuringian Forest

The vacation apartment is located in the center of Fehrenbach and is on the 2nd floor of a house built in 1925. The living room offers a comfortable couch as well as a 55-inch OLED TV with Netflix and MagentaTV. In the bedroom you will find a 1.6 x 2 m bed and from the kitchen you have a beautiful view of the place. A third person can be accommodated on the pull-out sofa bed in the living room. Early check-in and late check-out by arrangement.

My very well-equipped apartment is ideal for 2 people. If necessary, another sleeping place can be quickly arranged on the pull-out sofa in the living room. On our smart TV, I provide you with Netflix for rainy days and relaxing evenings on the sofa :) I live quietly, right by the forest, where beautiful hiking trails begin. Sufficient amenities are available for business travelers. 1 travel crib and 1 highchair are available for a small guest.

Absolutely quiet and yet right in the middle of it all. 5 minutes by car and 10 minutes on foot to the center. High-quality furnishings. Floor-to-ceiling windows with a wonderful view of nature and Coburg.

Pure nature! Right on the Rennsteig. The cozy wooden house is located directly on the edge of the forest in a secluded location, within walking distance of the center (the nearest supermarket is 150 meters away). The climatic health resort of Masserberg as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve is the perfect spot to relax and unwind. Hiking, cycling and cross-country trails are right outside the front door.

Very nice family-friendly place to stay

The quiet yet central location makes our apartment a good choice. In summer, our courtyard offers a unique flair. Use it for eating, playing, getting together & enjoy nature and the loving details that make this place special. Opposite is a butcher shop. Also within minutes walking distance are a supermarket, a small organic shop and a fast food pizza restaurant.

Our apartment is located in quiet forest surroundings but within walking distance to Sonneberg town centre. It is perfect for hikers and mountain bikers, with hundreds of kilometres of trails leading into the Thuringian Forest national park from our front door.
