Monthly Rentals in Matakana Island

STAY HERE! If you’re in Tauranga or visiting Mount Maunganui it’s about a 10-15 min drive to each so you’re right in the middle. The surroundings are BEAUTIFUL. You can see the sunrise every morning over the jungle and hear the roosters and cows in the morning. If you’re lucky you’ll get a visit from their adorable cat Ella. The kitchen, bathroom and bed linens were clean and plentiful. There’s a “dairy” or convenience store a 3 min walk away. They were fantastic hosts that stocked the fridge with essentials and always made sure we had what we needed. They were attentive and quick to respond. We stayed at their tiny home for a month and it was a perfect retreat!

Beautiful luxury home in quiet Bowentown. We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home. Everything is available to make this a very memorabele stay. The house is spacious, clean has comfortabel beds and a beautiful garden with swimming pool. The location is nice and quiet and if you're looking for a place to unwind with the family then this is it. Very highly recommend and would come back again without hesitation!

Our stay at the bach was a balm for the soul. Days unfolded in a tranquil rhythm, spent entirely on the sun-drenched deck, where the only sounds were the gentle lapping of the tide and the occasional cry of a seagull. Evenings brought a cozy warmth as we gathered by the crackling fire, the sea's lullaby a constant, soothing backdrop. The bach itself was a haven of peace, a perfect escape from the hustle of everyday life. We explored the shoreline with leisurely walks, the salty air invigorating our senses. The provided water toys added a playful dimension, turning the sea into our personal playground. The proximity to local restaurants meant we could indulge in fresh seafood and local delicacies without venturing far. Each meal was a delight, made even more special by the friendly, welcoming nature of the locals. Their warmth and genuine hospitality added a special touch to our stay, making us feel truly at home. It's a place where time slows down, and memories are made.

Had a relaxing stay! My husband, friends and I really enjoyed it. The surrounding nature/garden was serene and the place itself was so nice and clean. Definitely recommend for a chill getaway!
