Welcome to "Cabin on Swede Hill". Our family has farmed this land since 1871. My great grandparents, Swan and Johanna Johnson immigrated to America in the 1860's, found this land which was similar to Sweden. They raised their family here. Approximately 65 Swedish families settled in this community, became to be know as the "Swede Hills". We just received the Hoosier Homestead Award from Indiana celebrating the Sesquicentennial Award. Enjoy a board game while listening to some oldies on the record player, take a dip in the cozy hot tub, or relax in the hammocks by the fire pit in the secluded back yard. House of Zen: Peaceful Modern Cabin on Tryon Farm

The House of Zen is an architect designed home situated in the woods, part of a sustainable farm community on 170 acres. Only an hour drive from Chicago, and close to Indiana Dunes National Park, it is the ultimate escape. The perfect getaway for couples, creatives and nature lovers who want some peace, quiet and space. Explore the farm trails & enjoy the wildlife and soothing sounds. Note: We have a 3 night minimum stay during summer, but open up 2 night stays 1-2 weeks before if possible.

Includes 1 BR with queen bed, 1 BR with futon & extra folding guest bed, kitchen, bathroom, & living room with small couch that converts to sleeping space if needed. Amenities: washer/dryer, free wi-fi/streaming services, 2 free parking spaces, AC/heating, self check-in, laptop friendly workspace, games, complimentary coffee/tea, beach chairs, towels, umbrella & toys, & cleaning/laundry supplies.

Charming Country Cottage

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. "Barn" turned into a guesthouse on 4 acres of owners residential property where you will enjoy peace and quiet, take a walk on trails through 2 acres of woods, take a short drive to Lake Michigan or the Indiana Dunes National Park or just sit inside at an electric fireplace. We are located 5.9 miles (approximately 12 minutes) from the Dunes National Park. Second STR available on same property that also sleeps 5 people if you have a group!

The little house is located within a 170-acre modern farm community filled with open meadows, woods and dunes. Minutes to beach, 1 hour to Chicago. Relax and enjoy the property or head out to explore the lakeshore, wineries, and great area restaurants! Two bedrooms, 1.5 baths, a fully appointed kitchen, living area w/fireplace, and a large screened in porch. Large windows flood the house with natural light and will make you feel like you're living in the treetops. A perfect getaway!
