Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Middlesex County

We had a great long weekend at Ronald's place. It was exactly as described and worked perfectly to get into town during the day and have a more peaceful night at the home. Great stay and highly recommend.

Six of us stayed over the weekend. We were very comfortable and Brad was very helpful and responsive. House had everything that we needed. Brad is a great host. Would 100% recommend a stay.

I will be sure to book again when I come to visit my family! Centrally located near the highway and downtown area- close enough to Boston. Quiet, peaceful neighborhood. Great house for kids. Clean, quiet and comfortable! Thank you!

“Expansive” is the word that describes Ala’s home, from the family room, dining room and kitchen, which are large enough to prepare a meal and entertain 20 people with ease. There are 2 master suites, the upper one with 2 balconies. It was a challenge to adequately enjoy the lower level attractions: pool table, gym, kitchen treats or tv lounge. Finally, we had breakfast on the side patio and evening cocktails on the front patio, both with views of the extensive grounds. The only downside, it was a struggle to leave the house for Boston sight-seeing and visiting with relatives. Sent from my iPhone

We were really lucky to find this amazing apartment for our first Airbnb experience. It was in a perfect location for us and offered many special touches to make our trip easier and more comfortable. It's easy to see why Vicki is a Superhost; she was thoughtful, attentive, and prompt in getting back to us. We highly recommend this Airbnb.

This beautiful home is all you could ask for in a peaceful getaway. Every room was immaculate. Warm and inviting, it felt like home from the moment we walked in the door. Lauren's proactive communication put us at ease before we even arrived. Detailed entry instructions (with pictures!) made sure this was a stress-free process every step of the way. Every room was spotless and cozy. The pictures capture the rooms accurately, but they could d never show the hundreds of thoughtful touches that make this feel like home away from home. We loved the layout and only wish we had more time there. Whether watching a movie by the fireplace or eating dinner in the dinning room, this place was perfection. We spent a day in Concord and days in Boston and this location is ideally situated to explore both. If we're ever back in the area, we would love to go back. The location was perfect for our needs. The beds are very comfortable, the shower is great with lots of hot water. It has a very comfortable and relaxing feel. There is an excellent Thai restaurant a few blocks away. The neighborhood is quiet and many local conveniences are in easy walking distance too.

Amazing location, centrally located with easy access to the T and many of the sights. The rental had a well appointed kitchen and nice bathroom layout. The living room seating was limited to only 3 people. The rental is in the middle of the city so there are associated noises, but nothing unexpected. It has a great cozy feeling that makes it feel like you are walking into your own home after a long day of visiting museums or walking the Freedom Trail.

This is a fabulous Airbnb for a large group. We were an extended family group of 8, and it was perfect. It's a beautifully furnished old house, with a user-friendly living area on the main floor, and 2 floors of bedrooms upstairs. There is lots of space to gather and enjoy the evening, with a well-stocked kitchen and dining area, which was great for making dinner for 10 people. But with space to get away to the bedrooms if desired. The bedrooms were what we expected, one huge, one small and 2 medium sized, just as described. All comfortable. The 2 bathrooms were great. There was convenient free parking for our 2 cars. It was easy to walk to the T to get into downtown Boston, or easy to drive in. We loved our stay here, and were the envy of our friends! Our only negative is that it was hard to control the temperature, as it is a lovely old house on 3 stories, so the downstairs could be cold or the upstairs too hot, but we worked with it, no problem. We loved our stay, highly recommended

We came to Boston for the marathon and are so grateful we chose to stay at George and Ann-Marie's bnb in Jamaica Plain. It is super close to the train that zips you right into the heart of Boston and is far enough away we could get some peace and enjoy the beautiful neighborhood away from all the race chaos. The home itself was very comfortable. We slept great. We enjoyed having coffee and drinks on the patio and lounging on the giant couches. It felt spacious with the 4 of us. We really liked walking 10 minutes up to Central for ice cream and restaurants, or 5 minutes over to the Sam Adams brewery. The neighborhood has tons of trees and was really quiet. George and Ann-Marie were very responsive and checked in with us during the stay to make sure we had all we needed. They also were able to accommodate a later check out, which was really helpful. Awesome spot!! We highly recommend it :)

Great stay for a couples getaway in the city! Celebrated a wedding anniversary and stayed in this adorable apartment perfect for two people. You can’t beat the parking spot on site, which was huge for us. Other pros, the neighborhood is quaint and quiet and easy for Ubers to find you, the private patio is adorable and great for a drink before dinner or a morning coffee. The kitchen was clean and had all the basic amenities. Only cons would be there was a dust bunny or two in the bedroom and the bathroom shower seemed clogged as there was water filling the bottom. The shower was also missing body soap, which I let the owners know for future renters. I don’t believe this apartment has AC, although it was April we got lucky with an 81 degree day which made for a hot evening while trying to sleep, but luckily there was a box fan in the closet we used. Overall, a great place to stay in the city if you’re looking for a relaxing spot to rest after being out and about in Boston!

We loved staying at Dan’s place. Great location - walkable to MIT and nearby shops and restaurants, as well as the Red Line (subway) and a bus line on Mass Ave to get into Boston. Even so, the house itself is on a quiet street so no city noise. While easy to walk places, we also appreciated having Dan’s permit to leave our car on the street outside the apartment during our stay. Dan is a great host - very responsive and available to answer questions and offer suggestions as needed. The apartment is comfortable and clean - it has been recently been renovated and is well equipped. Bed is especially comfortable! Easy to check-in and out - would definitely say again.

Stephanie's place was exceptional. Truly one of the best stays I've ever experienced. She has added all the essentials in the apartment and great guest guide for the area. The kitchen was fabulous and well-stocked. She provided cream and pods for the Keurig too. The beds were incredibly comfortable- The pull-out sleeper sofa and it was one of the best mattresses I've ever slept on. Also, the neighborhood is fantastic- an incredible little cheese shop with wine, olives, baked goods etc. just one block away, and numerous restaurants only a 5-10 minute walk. I booked this location to be near Tuft's Medical Center and found a perfect gem of Boston. I will absolutely book here again for future trips.

Rong was very friendly and helpful and communication with her was very reliable and uncomplicated. We had a good stay and the accommodation is a good base from which to explore Boston.

Mark and his villa were perfect for us during our "displacement" for almost 2 weeks while our floor was redone. He was the perfect host: 1 - being beyond accommoative with our quick displacement 2 - was an excellent communicator and lightning quick responses before/during/after our stay 3 - the villa is in a gorgeous area, with plenty to do nearby and all the amentities you could want: grocery stores, restaurants, and things to see/do super close 4 - there's plenty of room throughout the house for everyone (including our dog!) 5 - the kitchen is well-stocked both with cooking staples and equipment, even had a fresh bag of coffee waiting for us! I can't recommend him and this listing enough, whether you are displaced during reno's like we were or just in the area and looking for a place that can feel like a home away from home. It has everything you could need/want from my perspective, and I am very picky when I am spending an elongated period of time. Thanks Mark, was a pleasure :)

Like others' recommendation, Anna is such a warm hearted and knowledgable host. She will always care about you, good at communication while keep certain privacy. She will prepare you coffee and tea and cookie in the morning. Her house is very clean located at beautiful, peaceful and safe neighborhood with direct bus stop nearby. She help make my BM trip so easy and I will defenitely book again in the future and recommend to others.

I have stayed at quite a few Airbandbs and Anna's place is the best of all of them---quietest, best value for the cost, and nicest, most responsive host. I slept really well, which was important to me because I had a big race to run the next day. Anna is a charming host who was eager to help me with my every need. The place was spotless and everything was as good or better than expected. I would definitely go again, the next time I'm in this area. The location is great for doing all sorts of cultural and outdoor activities.

We really enjoyed our stay at Tamara’s house. We arrived very late at night and everything is ready for us. We are a family of five and we do quite a bit of cooking. We got everything we needed from the house, saved us time and money. Highly recommend this house to everyone visiting the Boston/Newton area.
