We had a wonderful stay at this traditional Japanese home in the peaceful countryside near Lake Biwa. The house itself was full of charm and character — a perfect place to unwind and experience rural Japan. Our host, Yu, was exceptional. He was always available and very responsive, offering to give us rides when needed and helping us make the most of our trip. His kindness and hospitality made us feel truly welcome. Communication in English was smooth, and we appreciated his thoughtful suggestions. If you're looking to escape the city and enjoy the beauty and calm of nature while staying in an authentic Japanese setting, this is the perfect spot. Highly recommended!

The host was waiting for us when we checked in for explaining the facilities so there’s no trouble while staying. The equipment for BBQ was well prepared so it’s all fine to buy just food. Thank you for the lovely room.

I used it as a group of 8 people, but it is very well equipped. We had a comfortable stay. Also, the weather on the day was not great and the temperature was low, but the indoor and outdoor wood stove was fresh and warm, which was great. I want to book in the warmer months next time.

I stayed with 13 of my high school friends! The sauna was authentic, the barbecue stove was easy to use, and the garden wires were perfect! It was a well cleaned and clean facility! It was also very pleasant to have coffee and breakfast, bring a hot sand maker, and eat hot sandwiches and coffee on the terrace. Regarding the sauna, it goes up to 110 degrees Celsius, so it is difficult to lower the temperature even if it is rolled, and it is well arranged with a water bath and infinity chair. We stayed with 7 people, but the room was spacious and tidy, and we had a comfortable stay without any inconvenience! I'd love to stay again if I get the chance

This is my first time coming to Japan, because two days I can meet the most lovely yumi and harufumi in haruya is the best experience of this trip, this house and the owner and all the people I meet are different, warm and sincere, you can feel it from their smile, and it is very fortunate to join their yoga activities, so I know new friends, by the way, and cute lily, this is amazing! The details of the house are more sensible of the level of care of yumi and farufumi, where you can hear the sound of stream water, the sound of the leaves wiggling, all kinds of insects chirping in the late night, really letting the time slow down, if there will be a chance I will bring my favorite person to come again!
