Beach house holiday rentals in Mindelo

The house of Tiago's family is really located directly on the beach. Only one - but uninhabited building - separate the house from the beach promenade. You can even see (and sometimes hear) the great surf from some of the windows. We were there shortly after Easter in the preseason and always found a parking spot right in front of the house. The house itself has a very good layout. There is a sleeping wing where all 4 bedrooms start from a hallway and a living area with kitchen and adjoining utility room. Everything is very personal, individual and lovingly furnished and corresponds to the representations in the photos. The contact with Tiago and his mother, who received us, was very prompt and unproblematic. We received a lot of recommendations and enjoyed the stay.

Unreal house, great location. A must stay!

Liliana’s home is perfect for a family holiday. We had mixed age groups and the downstairs bedroom and bathroom is good for older generation with easy access. We were by the beach for walks and nearby was a cafe and restaurant for evening meals and morning coffees and cakes. We got Ubers into Porto which were very easy to get and reasonably priced. You can have busy days in Porto and quieter evenings in the house in Gaia which suited us perfectly. Liliana was a fantastic host who organised a cab for us from the airport. Any questions we had she provided quick answers and helpful tips. I would definitely recommend the house and host. Just for info - We took a bus tour in Porto for 48 hours would take the bus to the point closest to the house and grab an Uber from there which worked out cheaper.

Everything was great, we were met by a very friendly and nice woman who showed and explained everything. The accommodation is excellent, everything is as in the photos. Very comfortable, has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Nearby, the ocean is making a very nice noise. The view is beautiful too. Recommend.

The whole cozy cottage has all the comforts and has an AAA+ location. In the surrounding area, everything happens during the day, from fishermen who are going to sell their catch in the morning to the local church that organizes a drink at the boulevard. A supermarket is around the corner, but we almost needed it because of the drinks/coffee/cheese/toilet paper etc., which Maria had already provided. There are plenty of fantastic restaurants nearby and with 20 minutes by train you are in the heart of Porto. We will definitely come back here again!

We have had such a fantastic time at Ocean house. Such a great location, plenty of things to do within walking distance, beautiful beach. The house is in great condition and very clean and very well equipped. Marta was very helpful and responsive. We will be returning !

We recently enjoyed a delightful week-long stay with our family at this enchanting house in the heart of Vila da Conde. The property's romantic outdoor architecture immediately sets it apart from the surrounding homes, creating a truly charming atmosphere. As a group of adults with children, we found the house to be perfectly suited to our needs. Located next to a small city park with a playground and cafés, the house offers easy access to local amenities. Historical sites and museums are within a short walking distance, making it a convenient base for exploring the area. The spacious interior, including three bathrooms, was a major plus, and the outdoor pool, seating area, and grill provided ample opportunities for relaxation and entertainment. Thankyou Afonso for a lovely stay at your home We had everything we needed there and really enjoyed our stay despite For future guests we recommend an early trip on Grayline sightseeing tour to get your bearings around Porto/Matosinhos Stop 9 just 5 min walk from apartment Locally : Just down the pedestrian lane from apartment there are good restaurants Camelia Garden for lunch/brunch and Paparoca and Arcadia for morning coffee/pastries Porto is easy to get to - could walk prob 20/ 30 mins but can get Infante tram from Camelia (€6 each one way ) but also found Ubers cheaper to get into town only €6 Didn’t really find a close convenience store nearby so just bear in mind for milk water etc Al Mare and Habitat for dinner is excellent

We had a really wonderful time at Silvia's place. We were allowed to stay a little earlier in the house and on our departure day, because of a late flight, we were also allowed to stay longer, very nice, thank you Silvia! And what a beautiful house, tastefully decorated and beautiful materials, nice dining table, nice sofa, around a balcony, nice seating and sun loungers and of course the heated swimming pool. Well-equipped kitchen and nice showers. The beds do have quite firm mattresses. You can walk to the beach in 10 minutes, in the village there is a good bakery with delicious sandwiches and delicious Portuguese delicacies. A large supermarket is in the next village, but that is too far to walk. Sylvia is a nice host, pleasant and fast in her communication and flexible. This is truly a lovely house for 6 people, highly recommended!

Beautiful property with even more beautiful grounds! Eusebio's place is very peaceful, with a big pool, flat yard, and beautiful plants everywhere! The home was perfect for our family of 3. We loved exploring this remote area, as well as driving to Viana do Castelo to shop and eat.

Wow I really enjoyed the stay. The place is impeccably styled and is very conveniently located. The host is awesome and we were fed a daily supply of crazy amount of bread and pastries. What is not immediately clear from the photos is that the place is in a vicinity of a big port, but that is actually a very interesting view to see so we're more than enjoyed the stay and would totally come back again.

We had a lovely stay at Francisco's beautiful home. The house was clean, comfortable and well stocked with all that a family of 6 would need. Our kids really enjoyed the lower level playroom and the outdoor space and pool. The hosts shared local recommendations and even provided a few welcome treats and wine which we appreciated. Francisco was extremely responsive and came by within minutes when we had a question about something in the house one morning. The area is quiet but on the outskirts of many of the sights of downtown Porto. Something to be aware of if you're looking for an area that is walkable or closer to the activities around town. You will need to Uber (minimum 10-15 minutes) to get to most nearby Porto attractions. Great house and pretty decent location if you don't mind being a bit further away from the city center.

Susana and her family are perfect hosts and nothing was too much trouble. We had a fantastic week with our grown up and teenage sons there. The villa and outside areas are extremely spacious and so clean. With older children, this extra space was invaluable. There was even a ping pong table to keep the boys busy too! It is so well equipped overall and the outside BBQ is great. The local area is so beautiful and we used a great local surf school in the mornings. The beach is very accessible and it was good to have off street parking in the villa, as the beach is a popular local attraction so the there lots of visitors to the area during the day. But this just makes the beach more vibrant and interesting. We made full use of all the restaurants and the small local shop, where we ordered daily bread and picked up essentials. A big thank you to Susana for being so helpful and flexible throughout the week. We would highly recommend a anyone to book this holiday home.

Exceeded high expectations! A truly beautiful accommodation, and a very short walk to a stunning beach! Our host, Manuel, was friendly, proactive and welcoming. My friends, children and I had such a wonderful stay and made many lovely memories here. We'll definitely return!

Friendly host, very smooth communication. Very spacious house with a large garden. Quiet neighborhood, hassle-free parking in front of the door. Play area for the kids. Nearby, outside the beach and the sea, there is little to do, but there is an easy train connection to Porto. Recommended!

The house is very nice and comfortable, full of light and exactly as in the pictures. It is also nice to have a space outside to seat down and relax in the sun. The position is great, steps from the beach in a quite residential area but also close to the city center which can be reached in 20/30 minutes with the bus. Ruben is a very welcoming host always eager to help. Communications with him were always smooth and he was so nice to offer us a late check out. We absolutely loved our stay here!
