We absolutely loved staying here. It was the highlight of our time in Ecuador. I highly recommend staying at least three nights, although we wished we had booked for at least a week. The house itself is immaculately kept, even got fresh towels each morning and some quick housekeeping. The property is about a 20 minute drive from downtown Mindo on dirt roads, our SUV rental car did just fine! We enjoyed making our way into town once a day for groceries and a meal out, but cooking in the outdoor kitchen was dreamy. Wendy’s property and the surrounding wilderness is exquisite. I highly recommend hiking to the waterfalls just outside of Wendy’s property, shared with her neighbors. We had the most beautiful waterfall and its calm pool all to ourselves—the best day of our vacation! The bedroom, bathroom, and kitchenette are well protected from bugs and get nice and cool at night. We recommend bug spray when cooking outside and hiking. Overall, incredible!! We absolutely loved this place — it’s like paradise! Fernando and the house manager, Luis, were both very responsive and accommodating. The house is located in a quiet area and offers breathtaking views. There are tons of chirping birds everywhere — it’s truly amazing. We loved everything about this place: the hammock views, the balcony, the pool, and the sauna — all spectacular. We’re definitely coming back! Highly recommend if you’re looking for a quiet, tranquil day in a jungle-like environment.

Be ready to have all of your senses pampered. The view, the river, the house are just picture perfect. On top of that, the hosts are beyond awesome! Ecollacta is THE place to stay in the area.

The place is very nice, comfortable, clean and quiet, there is a gas station in front and you can go buy anything because it is open late, I would definitely come back

A beautiful home in a spectacular setting; although it is close to the city, from inside the home you have the feeling of being in the middle of the jungle. The host was very attentive and gave us all the necessary information to make our arrival and stay easier and more comfortable. Highly recommended.
