Had a beautiful stay with my son at the Vermillion Inn! I would stay there again!

John was a great host, welcoming my son and I into his home. There was a nice sense of community in the home filled with past travelers and stories. I much more prefer the experience of a home than staying in a stuffy hotel. The accommodations were the perfect size for my son and I, not having to cook breakfast was a huge bonus and it was very delicious. The area is walkable, sadly it was a little cold and snowy to venture out on foot. Will definitely stay again!

Great host. let us check in early due to our fighting landing early. clean house, comfortable beds, close to food, groceries ,etc. close to downtown, the mall of america and airport only 20 mins away. nice quiet place to stay.

I absolutely loved staying here, and I can't wait to go back! If you love historical sites like I do, you'll love this place. Check-in was easy, and the pictures were accurate. Staff were friendly and helpful. I had tickets to the Orpheum Theater, which was only a six minute drive away. I enjoyed the complimentary wine they set out in the evening. It was a great place for my birthday staycation. Check it out!

Where to even begin- the place is magical and the hosts are amazing and caring. I highly recommend staying there if you get a chance.

I was able to work from the kitchen table- where there was cereal, lots of cut up fruit and homemade mini muffins- which were delicious! They made the availability of the kitchen area open which was really appreciative. Super nice people. The bed was very comfortable and the tub was super deep- which was nice soak in. The neighborhood was beautiful! Walked many miles. easy access to the very inexpensive public transportations systems. Thanks for the opportunity to stay with your family.

Charming place, chuck full of history and steps from a gorgeous state park. Sheets were soft, the bed comfortable, the staff welcoming and the breakfast great.

It was an absolute privilege to stay in such a beautiful and wonderfully restored historic home! The owners could not have been more attentive to every design and decorating detail! I enjoyed all the shared spaces throughout our visit and was inspired and refreshed by their capable and well-executed vision to blend the craftsmanship of the past with the comforts and luxury of the present. A self-service tea and coffee station made for a cozy, winter stay. Perks like the ability to stream music to your room were a treat. The breakfast parfaits were delicious! The luxurious terry-cloth robes were a treat to slip into after a soak in the claw foot tub or to throw over jammies for a quick jaunt to the kitchen to refresh a cup of tea. It was wonderful to be so close to so many enjoyable restaurants and coffee shops. I can’t imagine a better location in Mankato.

The Farmhouse room was amazing! Jenifer was a wonderful host. It was very convenient to the friends we were visiting. Much better accommodations than a hotel in Pipestone or Brookings. I have shared her B&B w/our friends for future family visits. We will definitely stay w/Jenifer in the future. Thank you Jenifer. See you soon!

We had a fantastic stay here! Beautiful accommodations, great food, lovely property to explore, warm and welcoming hosts. Close to Red Wing, but out in the country to really feel "away." Totally worth it - will we absolutely plan to return. Thank you, thank you!

Gary and Sandra were very welcoming and sweet! We were celebrating out 3rd anniversary and Leech Lake B&B made for the perfect romantic, peaceful, and memorable getaway. Breakfast was home cooked and conversation was superb. Thank you Gary and Sandra!

Julie is very welcoming and accommodating to guests needs. Another guest switched rooms with us due to our needs. Its a little ways from Duluth activities but for the money you save by staying here vs anywhere in Duluth is well worth the drive. It was like staying at a family members house.

I loved loved loved this Bed and Breakfast experience! It was quintessential, charming, comfortable, and quaint. They have a true gift of hospitality which shows through the beautiful room and home and all the details, not to mention the delicious breakfast. I 100% look forward to staying here again when Im visiting Winona.

Monica was a very gracious host. She really took us in under her wing. She stocked the fridge for us and even got some gluten free bread when she realized that a member of our party was gluten intolerant. She went out of her way to help us feel welcome, comfortable, and at home. Her place was very clean and tidy. She even had boxes that we could put our toiletries in to keep them in the bathroom. She also had a fabulous garden. She said it wasn't as great as it usually is, but we thought it was lovely all the same. I would definitely stay with her again. She's a great lady and we were lucky to meet her and be hosted by her. Thanks!  

Great place. Great location

This was the halfway point in our road trip and we just needed a place to stay. It was very easy to get into despite us running late. We were very pleased with the accommodations. It is next to a 24 hour gas station and for us that was a bonus because it was easy to fill up and get back on the road quickly. I would definitely stay there again.

I stayed here with my daughter and we had a great time! Checker Board Pizza is right around the corner, almost, and highly recommended!

I stayed here for 11 days in the jacuzzi suite and had a wonderful trip. The bed is comfortable and the bedroom is dark. The bathroom is well-appointed, there's a fridge, and there's lots of good seating. There's a small room/walk in closet that has a microwave and coffee machine; if you were traveling with small kids you could probably set them up a little sleeping area in there. One thing to note is that the AC unit is in the living room, not in the bedroom; there are fans to help direct the cold air into the bedroom. I sleep hot and was still comfortable, so this fan system worked for me. There's also a kitchen area downstairs where you can cook and store food. The host was very responsive with any questions I had during my stay. It's easy walking distance to Hamline University, and close to a cute cafe (Gingko's).
