The CAT House is in a lovely old building in Malindi. The interior has been beautifully renovated with a nice mix of modern and traditional furniture. Kivumbi room is very spacious and comfortable, and cleaning is done very regularly so the room, bathroom, and communal kitchen is always spotless. Although initially hesitant about not being right in the heart of Stone Town, this turned out to be a lovely location, as Malindi felt like a microcosm of local shops and sights and within easy walking distance to the Malindi fish marke, the Darajani market, and the Forodani night market, making it possible to buy fresh ingredients with ease. Noreen herself is in an exceptional host. She is always available and responds immediately if needed. She is very mindful of guests' needs, and tries her best to accomodate requests. As a long-stay traveller, I was really appreciative of Noreen's ability to make me feel at home and at ease. Would not hesitate to recommend staying in the CAT house!

I enjoyed my stay! It was really good and the host was helpful and collaborative. I got to know a lot about Zanzibar and even had a Karaoke night at the place😄! What can I say? Authentic African hospitality!

I was on a business trip, it was close to the airport. An ideal place for this kind of visit. Really clean, probably the best Airbnb for this price I have found in Zanzibar town. Really nicely set up, very clean, has everything you need. Recommended.

Everything was perfect: the location, the cleanliness, the amenities and above all the warm welcome. The apartment is spacious, bright and tastefully decorated offering all the comforts needed for a successful holiday. The bedding is very comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped. The location is ideal: close to sublime beaches, delicious restaurants and must-see sites, while remaining in a quiet and unspoiled setting. The owner's tips for visits and good places were very helpful! Finally, a big thank you for hospitality and availability. We felt right at home and left with stars in our eyes. We will be back
