The Sea Cubby is a unique wee holiday lodge overlooking the Solway Firth. It is perched just above the waves with the most beautiful views across Portling Bay to the white sands of Merse Head nature reserve. The Lodge is not in a holiday park it stands alone with it's own private driveway, parking and garden. It’s so quiet, a retreat to escape and relax, by sitting watching and listening to the waves. The Lodge has a large glass roofed deck. Well behaved dogs are considered, please ask first.

Our cedarwood lodge has been designed and built for our family and friends to use when they visit. It is in a rural setting about 4 miles outside the market town of Cockermouth but is actually located in the Lake District National Park with stunning views over the fells, Binsey, Skiddaw, Bassenthwaite Lake and Keswick. The lodge has been designed to make the most of those idyllic views and is a retreat for anyone wanting to relax, unwind and enjoy our “world Heritage” status.

In our quiet village location, we are lucky enough to have 3 lochs, to which we have fishing rights and will provide them to our guests. Wildlife, beautiful walks, friendly locals and welcoming pubs. 10 Mins to train station which takes you direct to Glasgow or Edinburgh in 1 hour. Very quiet site, children and dogs welcome.

Yet again everything you need smart tv, microwave, oven, fridge, kettle, toaster this one even has a dishwasher, lovely Belfast sink with wooden worktops. it also has a sofa bed so can sleep 4. There is also a large private decking area with its very own wood fired hot tub and barbecue, all wood supplied.
