Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Monroe County

I recently had a fantastic stay at this Airbnb! The home was incredibly clean and well-kept, making for a comfortable and pleasant experience. The surrounding area was beautiful and peaceful, waking up to the views from the cabin was an amazing experience. Rich was extremely friendly and went above and beyond to help us check in smoothly. They were also very responsive and helpful when we had a few questions during our stay. Overall, it was a great time, and I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a cozy and welcoming spot!

Our family really enjoyed our stay here. It is so peaceful out there! Host was great with instructions and communication. Definitely would recommend for a private getaway!

Our family had the most incredible stay at the cottage! We were greeted by the adorable Chrissy, the guard dog, and her pack of alpaca. After settling in, Brenda gave us a tour of the property and introduced us to her alpaca. They were incredibly friendly and so much fun to watch and interact with. We stayed here Easter weekend and the cottage was exactly as it was described in the post. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed. We even grilled one night. The bedrooms were spacious with very comfortable accommodations. We stayed here with two young children and their grandmother. Everyone enjoyed themselves! We definitely will be back!

Debbie was a most gracious host and the home was perfect! Everything we needed was provided, especially in the kitchen. The surrounding farm was beautiful and so peaceful. This is definitely a place we want to stay again. We met our daughter here for a family weekend and we plan to return!

Thank you John for my second stay at Larew cottage. I can only imagine what it was like growing up there. It was a great base for our work documenting effects of the pipeline construction in the area and all the neighbors and folks we chatted with were wonderful, despite such a difficult intrusion in the region. I will be back!

We stayed while visiting my daughter at VT. Yes, it is a 35-40 minute drive to the college but it is a nice, easy and beautiful drive and definitely worth it if you like to get away from the city atmosphere. This place was right up our alley as we love to be outside and not stuck in a hotel room. The inside is truly like a beautiful hotel suite with all the upgrades. We love that you can have a short conversation over the propane fire pit or a relaxing few hours at your wood burning fire pit. The big bonus is you can end your day in the clean hot tub. It was also great to wake up and see the cows in the field next to us in the morning. The projector tv is something we didn’t think we would use but turned out we really enjoyed it! Definitely worth the stay if you’re looking for a few days away from it all.

Great place to stay! The river is right across the road with a walking bridge and little park on the other side. There is one bedroom upstairs with no door, and it has a toilet room with a curtain and a sink that is in the bedroom. There are two bedrooms downstairs with doors but you'll need to leave them open if you want heat inside, or you can use electric heaters. One bedroom has a double bed, and the other bedroom has two single beds. The shower is great, and there's a nice laundry room with washer/dryer. Overall nice stay about a 25 min drive to Lewisburg or an hour to the New River Gorge Bridge. Would recommend!

What a wonderful place to decompress, enjoy nature and rejuvenate! We loved our stay and the beautiful surroundings. If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat, this is it.

Another great stay at The Nest. We have been back to this location several times in the last several years. It is extremely close to our family that we can visit them every time we go down! We also are close to the town of Gap Mills and Union in which we visit each time. I can not express enough how amazing The Nest is and how friendly Thomas is when we plan our trips! 10/10 would recommend and 1000% will be staying here again and for the foreseeable future for our trips down!
