“Dan’s place suited my needs perfectly. Cute room in a lovely neighborhood with private parking, Wi-Fi, and my favorite coffee in the Keurig! Dan was very responsive any time I communicated but also gave me total privacy. While the kitchenette is not in the room it is not shared with anyone so very convenient. Would definitely stay again.”

“If you have to rent an airbnb for a whole week "on business", you might as well treat yourself to some unconventionally luxurious fun at Lonna's (somewhat decadent) mansion in Montclair, NJ! The location is unbeatable with everything from restaurants, jazz bars, coffee shops, to the Art Museum in walking distance! We just left the car at the house and walked, since parking in Montclair - as almost anywhere else - is difficult. We weren't there to tour NYC but could have easily caught the train or bus to do so. -- Our accommodations were generous with a large room and private huge bath with good towels etc. We enjoyed all the personal touches like whimsical artifacts, art work, antiques, , the occasional French phrase somewhere etc. The king-sized bed was very comfortable with a firm mattress and good pillows. On the one freezing-cold night, we had to pile on all the blankets (two additional ones in the closet) we could find, and I was grateful for the electric radiator which worked very well. The "morning bite" was a nice convenience which we partook in, appreciating the access to the kitchen for the hot water kettle, coffee etc. Lonna herself was gone during most of our week there, but we were taken care of anyway. Communication with Lonna was prompt via airbnb, and access to our quarters was very uncomplicated. Thanks for your generous hospitality! We also enjoyed meeting the dogs!”
The home is a 15 minute walk to the train station for direct access to Manhattan in 30 minutes via train. Driving into New York City is also around 30 minutes providing it is not at peak hours for traffic. Location is just two blocks from the nearest highway. If you plan to stay in the area please see my guidebook for suggestions of restaurants, malls, sightseeing and more.
“Angie's property was a great place to stay over the Christmas holiday. It was perfectly clean and had lots of kitchen amenities (although we did not use them). The property is easily located to the train (about a 5 minute Uber/Lyft ride) which is super convenient. Personally, having grown up in this town I would not recommend walking around at night unless you're familiar with the area. The train is about a 40-50 minute ride into NYC Penn Station. The property is also super close to a cool/hip town called Montclair with lots of amazing restaurants and shops. The entryway to the property is quite hidden so I would recommend waiting outside for Ubers/Lyfts. If you are renting a car, it is about 2 turns off the main highway (Garden State Parkway) which is extremely convenient. I would recommend this stay for anyone looking to stay local or commute into NYC!”
