This 12x12 house is off grid with a cute outhouse nestled in the timber behind the wildlife rescue. Relax and unplug for the weekend and know 100% of the fee goes to the animal rescue. We bring your supplies up via Gator as you hike the trail up. PLEASE NOTE: NO RUNNING WATER/SHOWERS

Cobblestone Cabin: Pine Creek Escape

Cobblestone Cabin is the newest cabin offered by Pine Creek Escape. It offers 2 small bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. There is a kitchenette with a refrigerator, air fryer and microwave. We also have a gas grill on the patio. This cabin has a beautiful outdoor space facing a quiet revene. For the 2024 season, we will occupy an office space below the unit that is accessed from its own private entrance. Our staff mostly works from home but we do use this space from time to time.

We created this space with the hope of sharing it as a place of retreat and refocus. The house sits on 6 acres of private woodland for you to enjoy. Whether walking through the trees, sitting by campfire at the top of the sandstone overlook, or watching the birds and deer, we hope you’ll reconnect with nature and enjoy your time!

LHOTP (Lil House On The Prairie)

Lil House On The Prairie (LHOTP) is aptly named because it’s located on the edge of Nachusa Grassland’s 1,000 acre south Bison pasture. The 100+ herd of free ranging Bison can often be viewed right along the boundary fence to the west! This recently remodeled two bedroom cottage can sleep six with two queen size beds and with a pull out sofa bed. LHOTP offers a quiet, convenient, and comfortable place to base your adventures from. Behaved dogs & responsible owners welcome!
