Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Mount Vernon

We had a great stay. Our kids especially loved the hot tub and fire pit and the cozy bed upstairs. Beds were all very comfortable and clean. Host was responsive and left clear instructions. We would have loved to stay longer but it was still great just for one night.

Brian’s virtual hospitality was warm and welcoming. I didn’t figure out that the garage is for snowmobiles (assumption) until the last day. We felt at home at once. Our small dog wanted to chase every squirrel and the cows that lead the pig down the street. We were there with another couple for a virtual conference with several sessions over Saturday and Sunday. The bedrooms were comfortable, bathrooms clean, kitchen small but well equipped meeting all our needs, and TV room perfect for the conference. Walking the dog in the back up the hill was beautiful even in the rain. We talked about booking for the October conference already. Thanks, Brian.

Great property with a beautiful view of the lake! It was very close to Saddleback Mountain and several hiking trails, which was perfect for my dog and me. We were also just a short drive from town for anything we needed. The hosts were responsive and friendly. Overall, it was a great stay with a group of my friends!

Had a great time staying here! There was so much space, everything was very comfy, loved the pool + ping pong + hot tub. The road getting up to the place is unpaved so we were concerned our 2WD car couldn’t make it up, but by the time we got back from skiing, the road had been plowed and sanded. The two minor downsides during my stay were the water (shower + sinks) occasionally smelled strongly of sulfur (?) but it wasn’t a big deal because the fridge had a filtered water dispenser. Also there is a requirement to not wear shoes in the house but the floors were dirty. No visible dirt but the floors definitely were not mopped. Very responsive host so I imagine if I complained about it something would have been done but it wasn’t actually a real issue.

This home was perfect for my family during a difficult time of grief. All of my adult children and I had our own sleeping spaces. We enjoyed the beautiful kitchen, dining, and living areas, and especially the ping pong table. We would definitely recommend this home to large families.

Renee was very responsive when we had questions. She was also very clear with instructions on how to get there/ how to use things around the place. We had a blast in a peaceful camp space!

Jared was a responsive and welcoming host. From the beginning, he was curious about our check in and our overall stay; he always wanted to be available if needed and gave multiple recommendations for our weekend. His house was welcoming and warm, and had everything my family needed. The area was beautiful and my family is already discussing coming back next year. If you’re thinking about a trip to Maine, this home should definitely be a consideration!

This was my second time staying at one of Valerie's rentals in the building, and it was just as great as the first. The location is truly perfect- a beautiful Main Street with shops and places to eat is right at the doorstep- and the apartment was clean, comfortable, and homey. I will definitely stay here again!

The nook is a beautiful and cozy place to explore this part of Maine! Kate was an INCREDIBLY responsive and generous host, even replying to a message I sent late at night with the best northern lights viewing location I’ve ever seen. Norway and Brighton are great surrounding towns and the lakes in Harrison are beautiful spots for a swim. Everything was wonderful!

What a great place to stay and visit our daughter at Colby. Cozy and comfortable, spent some great time there. Comfortable beds, plenty of space and kitchen had everything we needed. It was perfect.

Nancy greeted us warmly upon arrival, making us feel instantly welcome. Her place is in a quiet neighborhood with ample parking and offers thoughtful touches like muffins, coffee, tea, and bottled water. Prices are extremely reasonable. The space was exceptionally clean, spacious, and well-stocked with extra blankets, pillows, and bath linens. We will definitely stay at Nancy’s again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Pittsfield area.
