This is the last house in Kamimachi, Toyama Prefecture, which was a sawmill until the saws became obsolete. Mezuki is the work of sharpening the broken "eye" of a saw.I named it metate (metate) with the hope that guests who stay here will be able to hone their five senses. We renovated a historic warehouse and transformed into a small cozy place with a Japanese style bathtub on the first floor. Inside the room, you can have a relaxing time with the bath, reading a book in peaceful and quiet atmosphere, or watch a movie on the projector. You can go for a walk in the fields and on a clear day, you will see panoramic view of the beautiful Tateyama mountain range.
