Chalet Bärenegg is wonderfully embedded in the landscape of the Bernese lakes and mountains. Inside it is small with little storage space, but it has pretty niches to linger outside: two seats with a grill, outdoor sauna and for the little ones a lawn, sandbox and slide. A lush garden surrounded by forest, meadows and an open water pipe (Bisse) separates the property from the adjacent nature reserve "Achera Biela" (Valais rocky steppe with dry vegetation). The house is accessible from the parking lot via a short forest path (200 m and suitable for wheeled suitcases).

From the balcony you have a breathtaking view of the gigantic and world famous Staubbach Falls. In addition to the Staubbach Falls, depending on the weather, another five waterfalls can be seen. The incredible panorama is rounded off by the church directly in front of the Staubbach Falls.
