Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Nelson County

What a great experience! The location is secluded enough for the privacy we wanted, yet near plenty of enjoyable towns and establishments. It was really convenient for us to be about 40 mins from Charlottesville and 50 mins from Staunton. Andrew's cabin is really spacious without losing its coziness. It's rare to find an Airbnb that's stocked with everything you need, and this place checked all of the boxes for us. We never wanted to leave, which is always a good sign. For that reason, we will be back!

Our family of four needed a quiet get away, and we enjoyed the beautiful days and evenings, inside and on the deck! Hikes nearby, spa nearby, restaurants, grocery, gas also nearby. Great resort year round! Lots of activities if you want them, and lots of peaceful nature if you want. Great!

We spent a few days after Christmas with our extended family here, 7 total people. Lots of space to spread out and it never felt crowded. Three full bathrooms was great. The walk down to the river is steep, both down and up, and might be tough for some people as well as many steps within the house. This was not an issue for us at all, but wanted to make others aware. We had a great time at the property and local breweries. Don’t miss the meadery that does honey flights! Mary Stuart was awesome to plan with- most helpful host ever. Thanks for these special Christmas memories! Only thing missing was snow.

This place was awesome! Clean and quiet with some amazing views. There’s an abundance of wild life so be mindful when driving. The host is amazing. There’s hot chocolate and a beautiful fire place. Blankets if you choose to sit on the balcony with some hot chocolate and enjoy the view. Many food choices to choose from that aren’t too far. Would definitely stay here again and recommend you do too.

Beverly is a fantastic hostess. Not only is the cabin immaculately clean and cozy, it truly feels like it’s your own space. Plenty of fun toys, games, and books to keep kids and adults entertained when spending time in the cabin, though you likely won’t! Her property offers so much outdoor activity. Walks around the property, time spent next to the river and pond, plenty of flowers to admire, and friendly dogs that come and say “hello.” We were lucky and her goats just had kids! Beverly willingly took our child to pet and hold the babies. We loved our stay. Thank you, Beverly!

This was the perfect spot for our trip. A friend of mine and I brought our teenage sons for a quick weekend snowboarding trip, and needed somewhere with three sleeping areas. The loft had 2 beds and a fully bath which was exactly what we needed for the boys. It was super convenient to everything with a shuttle stop right out front. Plenty of parking, great amenities, clean, and easy to find! Also very cozy! We’ll definitely return!

Really loved this space! My husband, myself, our 5 year old, and baby stayed a night here to go hiking in the area. The space felt like home - really well decorated, and the bed was sooooo comfortable. The condo was in a quiet area. The hosts sent clear instructions for check in and check out. We’d absolutely rent here again.

We had a great stay here. Kimberly was kind enough to let us reschedule after some of our party got the flu and we had to cancel the original reservation. Entering the house was easy and there is a book of useful instructions. The hot tub and fire pit were easy to use and nice after a cold day on the mountain. When we checked in we didn’t have paper towels, but the host responded to my message quickly and provided all the paper products we needed the next morning. We had a little trouble with the hot water in 2 of showers, but were able to use the other two. All in all, we had a great stay!

I have stayed at many an Airbnb and Amy was the most responsive and kindest host I have stayed with. When we arrived the internet was out. Amy and her husband went the extra effort to get a local cable technician out to the property, even though it was a holiday weekend and they were traveling themselves. They truly went above and beyond to make sure we got the best experience in their home. Amy's home was very clean and was perfect for my family (kids and mother.) The kids' room was upstairs and had a bad for each child. Our children loved the reading nook that was in a small closet. It was so cozy with the fur rug and big comfy pillows. The house and kitchen was well stocked with soap, towels, paper products and essentials to make family dinners. The wood fire place added the perfect vibe after skiing each day. The location is a 2 minute walk to the spa, 3 minute drive to Wintergreen resort and 1 minute drive to Frost and Fire Pizza restaurant. Great home, great location
