Family-friendly holiday rentals in Nipissing

My family and I had a wonderful winter stay at Watersedge Lakehouse. The cottage was beautiful, peaceful and comfortable. Our host made sure we had all we needed and was very helpful with instructions on staying at the cottage , checking in and local recommendations. The main living room was a perfect place to gather and have a warm fire while looking out at the water. Rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. We also enjoyed the hot tub and the outdoor fire plus the deer wandering about. It was a great place for relaxing and making memories.

Always enjoy our stay at-rocky crest and this unit is ideal for a large group who need to spead out. Very responsive host. Look forward to coming back again.

Great stay with my family. Loved the winter activities both at the resort and in the area. The home was lovely, the dryer came in handy for drying snow-pants and mittens and the fireplace after outside time was great! The resort has many activities including skating, tubing and swimming/hot-tub that was fantastic. Enjoyed our stay and would enjoy returning!

We booked under the general listing (Having not realized that there were more specific ones) so Dan was kind enough to choose a cottage based on what he believed would be appropriate for the temperatures and time of year. And when we met down in the driveway upon arrival, he was immediately very friendly and we had a great conversation, and he directed us up to our cabin which was an excellent choice, beautiful view of the lake, nice amount of shade, beautiful inside (looked like it had recently had some updates as well), very clean, and very well-appointed - full amenities, very comfortable space…more like a home than a cottage. Had a lovely conversation with Pam while we were checking out. We greatly enjoyed our experience and hope to return next year!

The cottage was really cute and perfect for a romantic week-end! It was cozy and with vinyls we could listen to some ambiance music. There was an LCBO near so we got really nice Ontario wines. Only down for us was the matress for my husband who has back problems. Me, I don't so it was ok. Ruth-Ann and Bobby were really responsive and nice. Très joli chalet pour une fin de semaine de couple. Un bon verre de vin, musique avec des vinyles et reste juste à profiter du patio.

Great spot, beautiful cottage in a beautiful area. No complaints, would book again. Booking was a little confusing as it ran through the company and airbnb. But it makes sense as the cottage is apart of a larger family business. Very helpful staff and extremely accommodating.

We had a great time at this lovely waterfront cottage on a small lake that’s easily accessible from Parry Sound. The cottage has been updated but retains its charm. Everything was clean and comfortable. Location is quiet, save for the occasional small airplane overhead from the nearby municipal airport. The sand beach is easy to access and weed free. The canoe, kayaks and SUP provided for use were appreciated. Thank you for sharing your cottage with us!

Paula made our stay amazing again! The fire was going and the place was toasty warm. We were lucky enough to be there while the goats were having their babies and Paula let all 5 kids stay out with her for hours. We all had an amazing peaceful weekend. Highly recommend!

What a gem. This is a beautifully rustic spot in the woods for a gentle getaway on the water. There’s a bit of a scramble up a hill from the brand new dock (with amazing swimming and lovely afternoon sun!) to a sweet little cabin - everything you need for a comfier-than-camping holiday. There’s all the kitchen basics you need, and the wood stove makes it super cozy. The lake is quiet and the neighbours friendly. It’s a great spot for a lazy day in the dock, or a more adventurous day trip into Massasauga provincial park. Geoff was very responsive when the power went out and offered to come up to fix it right away. But we preferred to spend our last night in the warm glow of candlelight and wood stove. Highly recommend.

Patricia was a helpful host, very friendly and accommodating. Her place was peaceful, had a beautiful lake view. It was cute, cozy with rustic vibes. It was clean, organized, and had everything we needed. Also, the location is close to Screaming Heads and different hiking trails perfect for seeing the autumn foliage.

We and our dogs had a fantastic stay over the Thanksgiving weekend! The cottage was very clean, spacious and had everything you needed. We loved using the wood burning sauna and the fire pit and appreciated that the firewood was provided. Rebecca responded very quickly to any questions we had. I would highly recommend this cottage.

Our stay at Darren & Nadene’s cottage was fantastic. Nadene's muffins were the best ever! The place was clean, cozy, and a short walk to Deer Lake. Highly recommended for a big group of families and friends!

Had an absolutely lovely stay at Shireen's place. She was super helpful and always responsive to any questions we had. The place was just gorgeous and we can't wait to go back. Lots of room for a group of people with multiple seating areas indoors and out and a wide choice of bedrooms. Also very open concept so we could all enjoy our time together for a fun weekend away.

Bowhey’s is such a special place. All the amenities, clean cabins, staff is always busy working on something to make it even more beautiful. Ian is so great and laid back. Saturday night karaoke should not be missed! We will definitely be back.

Ian is a great host very friendly and professional. Amenities are well kept from the swimming pool to the fish cleaning hut, you can buy even premium gas for your boat and enjoy a Saturday evening karaoke. Definitely we will come back again.

My first time experiencing cottage life. Ian and his family are good hosts. My children loved Ian. This resort felt very safe. The people that were there were very kind and friendly. it was not overwhelming, it was just right. You do have to bring your own pillows and linen. My suggestion, bring a fan. keep you cool at night. There is hot water. Karaoke night was a lot of fun. no judgement. Ian has a big variety of music. If you are coming from the GTA, you are looking at about 5 to 6 hours of travel time depending on traffic. We didn't get to do the trails because our kids wanted to swim in the pool all day. However, there are trails around the area. Canoeing was a lot of fun and the paddle boards were a challenge but a lot of fun too. There is fire wood present for you to use if you want to make a bonfire. There is a convenience store down the street. They sell essential groceries, beer, liquor, first aid and hot food. Some of his cabins have a really good view of the lake.

My family and I had a nice cozy experience staying on Ian's yacht. We relished the lake views, the dock, the stars, and the sunset, as well as the opportunity to cast our fishing line directly off the bow.

My 5-year-old daughter and I were on a road trip and we booked this very last minute. it was definitely the highlight of the trip and wish we would have stayed a couple of extra days. the water was beautiful in the evening with the sunset.

Ian's place is as described. His boat is clean, and the resort is well organized. He is one of the few hosts that is actually on-site, to help with anything needed; he is also very accommodating and easy-going. I didn't think there was actually going to be a karaoke night, as it had been described in the other reviews, but there was one. The whole area is conducive to a relaxed state of mind. my son and I enjoyed staying here and will very likely come back for some good fishing. Yes, we caught fish too, which was a plus.

From the very first conversation, Andrey was professional and helpful. the place is as described plus more. Everything was well kept, the little boat was amazing, and most of us caught fish. There was something to do for all of us. Andrey accommodated us to an early check in, and offered a late check out, even though we didn't ask for the check out, it gave us a little more time with our family. We had pretty much packed up even though he sent the message early.. The fire pit area is right on the eater, and a lot of planning was put into it. there was plenty of room for our 3 dogs, 9 adults and one child. Sitting outside was peaceful. it was very private, with security cameras outside to help us feel safe at night. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home. well worth the drive, I think we have found our permanent holiday that we take with our family each year. Thanks!!
