“Looking for accommodation for a 4 month stay at NIH, the good reviews made my husband and me to choose Trish's apartment. All our expectations were overcome, not only for the apartment and its location, but also for Trish, a person worth knowing. The house is in a beautiful and safe area with friendly neighbors. Rock Creek trail is so near that in a few minutes you may find yourself walking in that gorgeous local nature park. The bus stop (line 34) is very conveniently located down the street. It takes a 5 minutes ride to NIH or to the red line the metro station (20-25 min of a nice walk), and 10 minutes to downtown Bethesda. You can park the car in front of the house. If you have not a car, groceries may be done by taking the bus, since there is a big Safeway some bus stop away. The apartment is spacious, nice, warm and furnished with good taste. The fireplace is a plus, especially in cold winter. Kitchen has anything needed for the everyday cooking. TV is huge, with many cable channels, Amazon and Netflix. The bed is wide and SO CONFORTABLE… Trish is an excellent and professional host. Very discreet, intelligent and pleasant to talk to, she knows how to respect the privacy of her guests. In those cases we needed something from her, the response was always very quick and effective. Unfortunately, our stay had to be shortened due to the emergency of COVID-19, which made us return to our country after only two months of stay. Trish's help was definitive in these difficult moments in which more than as a host, she behaved as a friend. THANK YOU TRISH”
This rustic listing is a small, quiet loft efficiency with a bathroom (walk-in shower) over a double car garage (that we don’t use) . It has a small refrigerator and convection oven. This is walking distance to a bus line to NIH, Whole Foods, CVS, Starbucks, and the Grosvenor-Strathmore Metro. Private driveway. Use the address of Hank Dietle’s at a reference point for distance to various locations. This studio is three houses away. Also, the ceiling height is limited at the edges of the room.
“Nathalie was an especially accommodating host. Check in time was at 3PM and I asked if it was possible for us to check in a bit earlier given that I was arriving from a morning flight. I ended up getting a stomach ache from a diner nearby and she allowed us to check in much earlier than I had initially planned. I give that a 5 star rating for hospitality! A few tips and things to note. If you are taking a car, I would recommend backing into the gravel driveway to make it easy to get out. There is no microwave and there is limited dinnerware, given that it is a small kitchenette. We ended up buying some meals in foil pans from Whole Foods nearby to heat up in the convection oven and it worked like a charm. Afraid that it's going to be cold? The sink/shower heat up really quickly and there is a heater attached to the wall, as well as a space heater. Keeping them on low kept us toasty all weekend during the winter. This is a charming space in a nice and quiet neighborhood, just far away enough from the noise, but close enough to all things you could possibly need. Would definitely recommend any travelers to stay at Nathalie's place for their next trip!”
Basement Room in a house within 2.8 miles distance to the Glenmont Metro (Red line), buses and shops. Very safe and convenient neighborhood. Bath right outside your room. Queen bed, Plenty of street Parking. Also basement isn’t private, You will be sharing the basement with the host (Allan) and no one else.
“Tina and Allan were really great, very smooth communication and super accommodating, considering I arrived late and had my dinner delivered late. Love their clear and reasonable rules. Good stay and great value”
